As I said about this back in December: 

"In Defense of Politicians", that would never be 1 of my lines. Not even if I was a defense lawyer defending a politician. I would be in there in court telling the judge: 

"I'm here to defend the politician". But if I win this case, as soon as it's over, I'll be the first person telling the public how big of an asshole I think this person is. And why I've never voted for this politician. Well, not after the first time...

My point here is it's not  just the politicians. It's not just the voters either. It's just mostly the voters. As George Carlin said: 

"Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from some other reality.

They come from American parents, American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses, American universities, and they’re elected by American citizens.

This is the best we can do, folks. This is what we have to offer. It’s what our system produces. Garbage in…garbage out...

So I guess I'm debating George Carlin about who sucks when it comes to American democracy: the politicians or the voters. But as George Carlin said so himself: 

"Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from some other reality.

They come from American parents, American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses, American universities, and they’re elected by American citizens.

This is the best we can do, folks. This is what we have to offer. It’s what our system produces. Garbage in…garbage out...

And the other thing here is whether people have a... let's say credible right to complain when they don't even bother to vote or not. And as Carlin said so himself, while 65% of the electorate (give or take) is voting every 2 years, he's home screwing himself. (And he would use stronger language) My point is people who don't even bother to vote... you are screwing yourself in multiple ways. 

When you don't even  bother to vote, you are not doing your part to protect yourself and the rest of the republic from the crooks, the liars, the assholes, the wannabe political reality TV stars, the big government statists, who think the government knows how to spend your money better than you and is even better at running your life than you. Why? You are too busy staring at your phone, texting the person who is right next to you, watching your favorite "reality TV" shows, trying to find out which rehab your current favorite celebrity is staying at, etc. to give even give 1 damn about the future of your own country. 

I don't think this should be even a debate about voting versus not voting. And I don't think people should be required to vote by law either. I think this really should be a debate about smart voters, versus people who vote, but don't do it intelligently. American democracy can never be better than the people that it's supposed to represent. Because American democracy are the voters themselves and the people that we elect to represent us. 

And when we don't do our part to make sure that we are getting the best representation possible to represent us in public office, we instead get the crooks, the liars, the assholes, the wannabe political reality TV stars, the big government statists. 

I will close on a somewhat positive note here. When voters take democracy seriously, especially liberal democracy, like ours, seriously... with all the protections, the individual rights and responsibilities, the checks and balances, our limited government, the rule of law, seriously... they don't just vote, but they know who they are voting for before they make those choices. 

But when American voters don't take our liberal democracy, seriously, they vote for people because they think they're cool, they look Hollywood, they look like they could be a professional "reality TV" star, they like their political catch phrases and soundbites, or they just vote for people who tell them what they hear, without bothering to do any homework about that candidate's past record before running for the current office they're running for, we get a lot of bad government and politicians, because we have bad voters who elected them into office.

"Well, we like war!

We like war! We're a war-like people! We like war because we're good at it! You know why we're good at it? Cause we get a lot of practice. This country's only 200 years old and already, we've had 10 major wars. We average a major war every 20 years in this country so we're good at it! And it's a good thing we are; we're not very good at anything else anymore! Huh? Can't build a decent car, can't make a TV set or a VCR worth a fuck, got no steel industry left, can't educate our young people, can't get health care to our old people, but we can bomb the shit out of your country all right! Huh? Especially if your country is full of brown people; oh we like that don't we? That's our hobby! That's our new job in the world: bombing brown people. 

Iraq, Panama, Grenada, Libya, you got some brown people in your country, tell them to watch the fuck out or we'll goddamn bomb them! Well when's the last white people you can remember that we bombed? Can you remember the last white--- can you remember ANY white people we've ever bombed? The Germans, those are the only ones and that's only because they were trying to cut in on our action. They wanted to dominate the world! BULLSHIT! THAT'S OUR FUCKING JOB! Now, we only bomb brown people – not because they're trying to cut in on our action – just because they're brown. 

Now you probably noticed I don't feel about that war the way we were told we were supposed to feel about that war, the way we were ordered and instructed by the United States government to feel about that war. 

You see, I tell ya, my mind doesn't work that way. I got this real moron thing I do; it's called “thinking”, and I'm not a very good American because I like to form my own opinions. I don't just roll over when I'm told to. Sad to say, most Americans just roll over <snap> on command, not me. 

I have certain rules I live by; my first rule: I don't believe anything the government tells me... nothing, zero, no, and I don't take very seriously, the media or the press in this country, who in the case of the Persian Gulf war were nothing more than unpaid employees of the Department of Defence, and who most of the time, most of the time functioned as kind of an unofficial public relations agency for the United States government. So I don't listen to them, I don't really believe in my country and I gotta tell you folks, I don't get all choked up about yellow ribbons and American flags. I consider them to be symbols and I leave symbols to the symbol-minded...

The last few weeks I've been giving you lots of reasons why the far-left in America (Socialists, Communists, Hippies) don't like George Carlin. And all of that really has to do with his beliefs in free speech, personal freedom, and individualism. 

If George Carlin was performing and speaking today, he would be treated like Bill Maher by the far-left and he would probably have to hire an army of bodyguards to protect him. And he wouldn't be allowed to perform on college campuses by the far-left, because of the way that Carlin made fun of radical feminists and the far-left in general. He probably probably would've gone after Islamism, especially militant Islamism as well, in America in general. 

But you listen to George Carlin and how he talks about war and the far-left would talk about him, the way they paise Che Guevara or some other militant leftist from the 1960s or 70s. I mean he would be like their God to them. (Even though most of these folks are Atheists) Because this is how the far-left sees the United States of America. We're just 1, huge, war machine, in the business to protect "The Man" and to bomb the hell out of people who have dark complexions, especially if they have a lot of oil and gas as well. 

And 1 other thing that the far-left loves about George Carlin: he cusses his ass off. He could barely get through a sentence with delivering a "fuck", or a "shit", or "fucking", "mother fucker", etc. And that's how those folks talk to each other and how their militants talk to people they disagree with online. Which is only about almost everybody. They can get very pissed off online, perhaps because they're so lonely and unhappy.

Pro-life, these people aren't pro-life, they're killing doctors, what kind of pro-life is that? What, they'll do everything they can do save a fetus, but if it grows up to be a doctor they just might have to kill it?"

You don't need me to point that out to you. You can just watch the video. But I'm highlighting that point because I think it's important.

I think writing satire about abortion, is like joking about about rape: "Hey, at least he was good looking. What are you complaining about? It might be the last time you ever have any chance of getting laid for a while anyway. Especially since you are in prison." Something about joking around about abortion or rape, seems off to me. Maybe that's just my conscience talking or something. 

So I'm not going to be joking around about abortion. But people who call themselves the "Christian Right" (even though most of them probably can't find a prayer in the Bible, let alone read the book before) that's a different story. They're a very easy target because a lot of them are so stupid and crazy, and represent a major political faction in America. 

Let's just start off with pro-life: if people who claim to be pro-life (who are really just antiabortion) ever had any real power in America, an escaped mental patient, as well as escaped convict, would have easier access to getting a gun legally, then a woman who needs a certain health procedure (like an abortion) just to stay alive. Or at least stay healthy. 

If the far-right in America was ever in complete charge, not just The White House and Congress, but like all 50 states as well, all the courts, killing abortion doctors simply because they are abortion doctors, would be legal. But law enforcement officers who break up violent far-right political rallies, or arrest violent, far-right rioters, who are tying to break up the certifications of democratic elections, would be held legally liable for doing their duty and could go to prison.

Just because you are against abortion, doesn't make you pro-life by itself. There are people who are antiabortion, as well as pro-life. But that's because they believe in defense of all innocent lives. Not just fetuses who aren't even people yet and therefor don't have the same constitutional rights as people. But all innocent lives, regardless of their political affiliations, what they do for a living, their race, ethnicity, etc, or where they live. 

I think what George Carlin was really doing here, is making fun of the people who in the 1990s were called the Christian-Right. People who as far as I''m concern, at least, don't know anything about being a Conservative, or even a Christian, let alone being pro-life.  

What the far-right in America actually  are, at least mentally and culturally (if not in actuality) are people from the 1800s or early 1910s, who woke up 1 morning and discovered that this no longer looks like the America that they're used to living in. And want to take the country back to that time where they're more comfortable living in and force that lifestyle on everyone else, including through government force.

I think a major point, if not the whole point of George Carlin's comedy, was about the truth, personal freedom, and individuality, which both include freedom of speech. 

And George Carlin's idea of freedom of speech is not the freedom to be liked and popular. He wasn't interested in being part of some clique in high school, that had most of the cool people in it, who were really just clones of their cult hero. He thought people should know the truth and be free to think and act for themselves, even and especially when the truth was hard to hear, especially from the most oversensitive among us. Even if that offended the hell out of overprivileged people in America who thought they know what's best for everyone because they have more money and education than most people. 

On the outside, whether you are talking about radical, militant feminists, or radical, new-left hippies from the 1960s and 70s on the far-left, (who are called WOKE today) or people who were called the Christian-Right in the 1970s and 80s, even 90s, who became the Tea Party during the 2010s, who are MAGA today (and I'm talking about MAGA militants) you would think they would be in a cultural war and it would like Israeli Zionists, versus the Arab Nationalists in Palestine. You would think that the only thing that they have in common, is that they want to destroy each other. Preferably before the other side destroys them. (Unless they're suicidal) 

But WOKE and MAGA actually have a lot in common. They both think that they know what's best for every American and what it means to be decent, moral person. And anyone who disagrees with them is some type of bigot (according to WOKE) or Un-American. (According to MAGA)  

George Carlin died in 2008. But it's safe to say he wasn't a fan of the Christian-Right. It's about as safe to say that is it's about as safe to say that if you jump in a lake, there's a real shot of you getting wet. I mean the mean the man was a freakin Atheist, for crying out loud. He wasn't a fan of Islamism either. But you just look at his material against militant feminism and left-wing political correctness, it's also safe to say that he wasn't a fan of what's called WOKE today. Not that he saw America as some type of utopia or something, but that wasn't trying to take down the system and try to replace America with something that's a hell of a lot less individualistic a lot more authoritarian. 

To go back to my original point about Carlin, he believed in the truth. Which is sort of like saying that someone believes in clean water and fresh air. You would think that would go without saying. But welcome to America, the land of the over protected, even from ourselves. (If the far-left or far-right ever got complete control of this country) And George Carlin was completely against that type of political and social collectivism.

What George Carlin was talking about in 2005, are people who are called male hipsters today. People who I like to call modern left-wing hippies, or hipster leftists. People who politically claim to be champions of the underclasses, the underdogs, minorities, who claim to oppose the American establishment, while tending to be very overprivileged. And would be last people to ever give up their new technology, their coffee houses, imported wine and other alcoholic drinks, their 2nd homes, (which were probably 2nd lofts) etc, so the underprivileged can have more in life. 

If there was a male voter bloc that Vice President Kamala Harris and her 2024 presidential campaign targeted, it would've been the male urban hipsters. Not Blue Collar Joe and Tom who work as construction workers, or auto mechanics, who shoot pool, or go bowling, after work, while drinking beer and eating chicken wings. Instead, they would've targeted guys who live in and work out of urban and suburban lofts, who drink coffee all day from their favorite coffee houses, who eat veggie wraps for lunch and drink French or Italian wine after work, with French cheese. 

But the guys that George Carlin was talking about, were probably large part of his audience as a comedian. Along with left-wing, urban, hipster, feminists, who probably made up a lot of his female audience. People like this: 

"The term “hipster” is elusive and frequently wielded as an insult, yet it has a rich history. The first hipsters were young Black jazz aficionados in 1940s Harlem. Their hipster culture was appropriated in the 1950s by young middle-class whites of the Beat Generation. His female counterpart has retro tattoos and a top-knot hairstyle and wears vintage clothes with Converse shoes. These figures appreciate vinyl records, vegan food, slick digital design, artisanal coffee, and mid-century Scandinavian modernism.

Hipster culture is about taste, fashion, and being in the know. But like any cultural form, it has a material base. In coffee shops, record stores, bicycle repair shops, bars, etc. within gentrified enclaves of major cities and beyond.

Most importantly, hipster culture is intertwined with the material structures that define the global economy. In line with the “neoliberal” turn of the 1980s and the newfound primacy of the individual consumer, contemporary hipster culture is connected above all to an ethos of consumption. Within a global economy that “specializes in the niched mass production of consumer goods that cater to the needs of small, subcultural groups” (Maly & Varis, 2015) hipsterdom becomes primarily about rejection of mainstream “taste.”

The contemporary hipster has morphed into what Thomas Frank (1997) calls the “rebel consumer” — the target subject of the synthesis of business culture and counterculture, where the imagery of youthful rebellion is mobilized to market corporate products.

I imagine George Carlin was into hipster culture himself. He's considered a counter-culture hero. But I guess what separates him from let's say WOKE today (who are the modern political hipsters) is that he was an individualist. Who thought people should be free to speak and act for themselves And wasn't trying to take down "The Man", or dye his hair green or purple, to look more antiestablishment. But instead he was someone who wanted to teach people and tell people to think and act for themselves. And not get part of political cultural movements, simply to try to fit in and seem cool.

"I partially agree with George Carlin on this. Our politicians actually do suck in way too many cases. I think that is obvious when you have a Congress that can’t get its basic responsibilities taken care of: 

Like gee I don’t know, funding the government that they are part of. 

Or paying the bills that has been run up on the debt, which is what a debt ceiling extension actually is. Not an agreement to borrow more money, just to pay the interest on the current debt. 

And you could add other examples of how members of Congress in both parties treat each other...

If voters took voting as seriously as buying I don't know, their latest smartphone, their latest smart TV, which coffee house to buy their coffee and what coffee drinks that they want, (just to throw out a few examples) I could guaran-damn-tee you that voting would be a helluva lot better in America. For the simple reason because then American voters would become American consumers of politics and government and would take it seriously. It's not that Americans are stupid by-en-large, (with a lot of exceptions) it's that they tend to be mentally lazy and don't like doing their homework and taking risks. Unless that's what their pop culture icons are doing and they think that's the cool thing to do.  

But as long as American democracy is like some realty TV game show, or something, where the winner is the person who is the coolest, the best looking, knows the best and most catch phrases, is hanging out with fabulist people, (so to speak) voting in American democracy will never be any better than voting for the NBA or MLB All Star Game. And to paraphrase George Carlin: it will just continue to be garbage in, garbage out, in our government.

I take George Carlin's basic point that Americans are easily manipulated. How else does 80-90% of the U.S. House of Representatives get reelected every two years? And of course gerrymandering is part of that as well. But you can't complain about bad politicians when you keep reelecting the same people every two years. 

Complaining about your own faults,  would be like going to the same restaurant for lunch everyday, ordering the same thing to eat everyday, and then complaining that you are bored with the food. The manager might say something like:"

Well, sir, maybe you should read the menu before you made your order? How about ordering something else to eat and mixing up your orders?" With your response to that being something like: "I don't like to read". Who's fault is that? 

I'm not sure it's that Americans are so much stupid, as much as a lot of them tend to be lazy and believe that thinking and acting for themselves is risky. How else to you explain electronics stores being staked out by people who think it would be some life accomplishment for them if they can be 1 of the 1st 5 people to buy the latest I-phone and be able to post that on Facebook, or Instagram. Whatever their favorite social network is. 

When people are fearful to think and act for themselves, they become easily manipulated. And when life is tough and has been tough for a while, they become even easier to be manipulated. That explains how people fall into cults, because you have someone claiming to be a spiritual guru, like a hipster spiritual guru, someone like a Charlie Manson or Jim Jones from the 1960s and 70s, claiming they're basically acting on behalf of God and they have all the answers to their problems. I don't want to sound partisan here, but we're seeing that in our politics today. I think you can figure out the rest for yourself exactly who I'm talking about what and movement I'm talking about. 

Ayn Rand was a big individualist and so was George Carlin. The cures for mental laziness and social collectivism, are intelligence, self-awareness, individualism, and personal freedom. The more intelligent people think and act for themselves, even if someone else who they think is cool doesn't agree with what they're doing and think they're being uncool, (to sound like a teenager) the more free they'll be and a lot more difficult they'll be to manipulate.

This is from George Carlin's I believe 1990 HBO performance where's he's talking about it not being that difficult and not requiring much talent to piss off a feminist. And he talks about entering some office in New York at Ms. Magazine or National Organization For Women or some other left-wing feminist office in New York.

Yeah, if you're trying to piss off a feminist or any women who is to the left of I don't know Phyllis Schlafly ( just to throw out a name ) that would probably do the trick. But how big a population could American women who are to the left of Phyllis Schlafly be anyway, 70-80%: oh wait, we're only talking about out of a 100, so I could see where George might be onto something here.

Now if we were in Saudi Arabia or stuck in the Bible Belt somewhere on the way to an actual city or someplace where people actually have next door neighbors instead of cows or barns, that's not trapped in the 1920s culturally, you would have a hard time finding a person who doesn't have that attitude, let alone pissing someone off with that attitude.

Now at risk of sounding serious for a moment: ( and it might not even be that long ) the actual definition of a feminist is someone: "who believes in the advocacy of women's rights based on equality of the sexes." To put it simply: people who believe that men and women shouldn't be rewarded or punished simply for being a man or a woman. That men and women should be treated equally under law. Sounds like mainstream logic that most Americans regardless of their gender can get behind and probably already support.

But of course the most mainstream of countries including America all have those people who don't fit in with the establishment. They where mink coats in the summer, put mayonnaise on their cheeseburgers, wear tank tops and leather jackets at the opera, and tuxedos at their favorite fast food joint. And I don't mean this literally, but they don't fit in with society culturally or politically with the establishment.

And when it comes to feminists and feminism, they either believe that women shouldn't even have the right to vote, let alone be aloud to work and basically just be slaves for their man. Which would be Phyllis Schlafly-Ann Coulter Far-Right view of the women's place in the world.

And then from the Socialist-Left and radical feminists or Marxist-Feminists ( as some feminists call themselves ) , you're talking about people who don't believe in equality, but feminine rule in the sense that women should be running everything and that men aren't just pigs, but don't even matter. Those are the feminists that George Carlin was talking about in this video.

So let see if I can't get  this straight: ( because it would be pointless for me to try to get it gay. LOL ) George Carlin, is in favor of the death penalty for bankers who launder money to drug dealers, but the drug dealers would be off the hook ( so to speak ) just as long as the drug dealers are killing each other. So it's OK if drug dealers sell their junk ( to keep it clean ) to our children and everyone else who wants to buy it, just as long as they kill themselves as well.

OK, that's an interesting take, but perhaps just as interesting as the politician who claims you can cut taxes deeply, increase government spending dramatically and that will balance the budget. Sounds like thinking  by people who are on marijuana highs and who perhaps got their marijuana from the same drug dealers who George Carlin wants to spare from the death penalty.

Or the other politician who promises the taxpayers a, b, and c, and perhaps the rest of the alphabet and that none of those programs will cost them everything. And at the same time they're also going to cut their taxes and balance the budget as well. No offense to George: but his death penalty argument sounds like it came from a politician.

I have an alternative: if we're going to have a death penalty at all, it will just be for the assholes. I know what you're thinking: America is full of assholes and there's not enough electricity, poison or ammo to execute every asshole in America. But hear me out: we use the death penalty primarily for the assholes who hurt innocent people simply because they don't like their race, ethnicity, complexion, religion, sexuality, hair color, complexion, shoes, money, etc. And even if with all the hate crimes in America, we're still talking about small percentage of the country. And we can even save the taxpayers some money here by giving them guns and telling them that they're just water guns and let them execute themselves.

This is probably not an argument from anyone who is ever going to get elected to anything ( without Russia's help ) anytime soon, but doesn't mean it's not worth considering.

This was covered on this blog yesterday, but since this is about George Carlin, we're going to cover assholes again, not that Carlin was ever an asshole, but just because he was an expert on this particular, distinguishing group of people. Congratulations, George!

There assholes who don't respect anyone else's feelings ( except for perhaps themselves and are the biggest candyasses known to man when people are honest with them ) and then there are people who are so stupid, that they don't even know how stupid that they are. One thing to not know what you actually know, or should know, it's another to believe you know a helluva lot more than you actually are. It's the moron wing of the asshole club ( one of the largest clubs known to man ) that I'm going to focus on when it comes to assholes.

It's one thing to have a high respect for yourself if you deserve it and then brag about how awesome ( or whatever word you want to use ) you think you are and then deliver on all of your talk. Larry Bird, one of the best trash talkers in the history of the NBA, but he always backed up what he said. And it's another to think that you're so smart, so knowledgeable, that you should be the President of the Ivy Leaguers of America, when the actual truth is you overslept or were drunk on the day that God handed out brains and you missed your opportunity in life to even be an intelligent person, let alone a genius.

Those are the people that you need to look out for, because they're really dangerous because they have a bad habit about making decisions about things they know nothing about, that affect the lives of others and are the people who can't handle the real truth about themselves, because it sounds like the opposite of what they are in real life. People who make real decisions not just their real lives, but about the lives of others, ( like career politicians ) are the most dangerous of the assholes. And would all be in contention for President of Assholes of America.

So, from reading up on what's called socialist anarchism, it looks like there would be a socialist society ( if they got their way ) but with no government. Just a large community of individuals living together, but without any topdown authority not just telling people what they can and can't do, but not doing anything for them either. Where everyone there would be there to share what they have with each other, because they want to, but not because they're being forced too.

Imagine the largest hippie compound somewhere out in the middle of nowhere California or some state with a lot of rural territory. Or Jonestown ( if you're familiar with the Socialist Reverend Jim Jones ) but without the crazy, murderous dictator. Or imagine The Manson Family compound ( if you're familiar with Charles Manson ) but without the crazy, murderous, spiritualist cult leader.

This might sound crazy, but I could see how Libertarians would like this philosophy, because of the voluntarist aspects to it, instead of the state mandating it. And I could see how Socialists would hate it, even though socialist anarchism ( which is not an Oxymoron ) would hate this and I'll explain that.

The Libertarian positives about this are obvious: a community of people coming together, that polices themselves and voluntarily shares their property. Not Uncle Sam or Uncle Fidel, or Uncle Adolf, Uncle Joseph, or any other big government uncle coming by, not knocking on someone's door, but knocking to down and confiscating someone's property. And saying that these people have too much and these people have too little and big government is going to come in and equal the score. ( So to speak ) I'm guessing that there's no such thing as Robin Hood in a socialist anarchist society.

It's also easy to see why Socialists would hate socialist anarchism, even though it's a form of socialism. Socialist anarchism, is left-wing anarchism, just like anarcho-libertarianism is right-wing anarchism. The reason why Socialists would and I'm sure do hate socialist anarchism, is because it's voluntary. With the Socialist thinking: "wait, you're actually going give people the freedom to manage their own lives and affairs. That's the job of big government, not individuals."

Socialists tend to believe that the world is too complicated of a place for individuals to successfully manage their own personal and economic affairs. And in George Carlin's case especially, Socialists tend to see America specifically as too complicated a place for individuals to manage their own affairs. And Americans specifically as too stupid to manage their own personal affairs.

If you're familiar with my recents posts about George Carlin, you might think that I see him as some type of Libertarian or Classical Liberal, ( Classical Liberals, are the real Liberals ) but he wasn't. Yes, he was a hardcore individualist when it came to personal freedom, freedom of speech, and individuality. But when it came to economic policy, what's called identity politics, cultural issues, American life and America in general, how he felt about Americans, he was right inline with the New-Left Socialist thinking and philosophy of the late 1960s and 1970s.

Which meant George Carlin sounded like Ayn Rand on social issues and on individuality, but he was right inline with Professor Angela Davis, political activist Tom Hayden, and other New-Left Socialist activists from that period. When you think about George Carlin's politics, think about peanut butter on a hot dog; might sound like a crazy and nasty combo, but it worked for him because that's who he was.

George Carlin, here talking about how politicians cover up  not just their mistakes, but immoral and sometimes even illegal behavior.

Anyone who isn't learning impaired, intelligent, sane, sober, and immoral ( which might be an unique, elitist club today ) knows that the first, major, an deadly mistake that President Richard Nixon made during the Watergate investigation over than trying to cover up the scandal, was to not come out with what he knew about it from day one.

Remember, President Nixon didn't personally order the Watergate break-in: that was done the head of his campaign John Mitchell. President Nixon, could've stayed out of it and let the FBI do their jobs and the people who would've gone down for it, would've been members of his campaign and people that were hired by those people the bunglers ( or burglars ) to do the Watergate break-in. Not President Nixon, or his Chief of Staff Bob Haldeman, senior advisor John Ehrlichman. Just Attorney General ( how ironic ) and top members ( or soldiers ) of his reelection campaign.

The lesson that crooked politicians ( our taxpayer funded crooks and liars ) get from Watergate, at least when they're guilty of whatever they're being accused of is to deny and coverup. Just flat out lie ( or bullshit ) about what they're actually guilty of. Thinking that they're constituents ( or blind followers ) are too dumb, don't care, or simply won't believe the allegations that have been made against their dear leader.

The problem with that argument is that it's not their blind followers that are going to hold them accountable, but instead it's the law enforcement officers and prosecutors that are investigating them and will hold them accountable. And law enforcement officers and prosecutors, tend to be the bright and educated and are smart enough not to take the word of a politician's when they're under investigation, because when their own eyes, ears, brains, and the best available and objected evidence suggests that the politician under investigation might actually be guilty of something that is really wrong and even illegal.

Being smart enough to not automatically take the word of a crooked politician over the word of your own ears, eyes, and the facts and evidence that's right in front of you, unfortunately makes you very unique in America. Which is why crooked politicians in America and around the world tend to get elected and reelected over and over.

George Carlin: 'I Like Individualists'

Before I get into George Carlin and what he thought about individualists and individualism, I need to mention a certain conversation that I had on Facebook last weekend and last week about my previous post about George Carlin, which fits into this piece, because it gets into what another thing that George George had in common with Ayn Rand. No Kidding: they were complete opposites on economic policy with Ayn being an Objectivist and George being what you could call as Socialist with how he thought about corporations and American capitalism, what's known as identity politics today with how he thought about race in America and European-Americans. But they both believed in free speech, free thought, and personal freedom. They both believed in individualism, at least as it related to one's personal affairs.

Last Friday, I posted my piece about George Carlin in a Facebook group that's dedicated to George Carlin. Apparently most if not all of the members of that group actually understand George, but this one member who apparently read my piece about George Carlin and 'Question Everything', the only thing this guy has in common with George is that they both swear a lot. Which makes his about as unique as snow in Minnesota in January. I actually told him that the only thing he has in common with George is that they both swear a lot, which makes him as unique as sunburn in Florida, but you get the idea.

This guy attacked my piece and called me an asshole, for political correctness reasons and that I paraphrased Ayn Rand. Think about that for a second: a member of a George Carlin Facebook group, attacking posts in that group, because he views them as politically incorrect and that I paraphrased in my last piece. If you know anything about George Carlin, you know that he hated political correctness., loved free speech and free thought, reason, and individualism: so did Ayn Rand.

So unless this guy is simply not familiar with George Carlin, or perhaps had George Carlin mixed up with George Washington, perhaps George Harrison, or so other guy named George who is in love with political correctness to the point that he would screw it if he could, and hates Ayn Rand, because he hates free speech, free thought, free will, reason, and individualism, this guy simply doesn't understand George Carlin at all and perhaps joined the wrong group on Facebook by accident. Maybe he was drunk or high one night or couldn't sleep after drinking an entire keg of Red Bull and didn't know what to do with himself and up on his computer and stared joining Facebook groups randomly.

If you wanted to know what the joke was that this guy in the George Carlin group thought was politically incorrect and the paraphrase of Ayn Rand that he didn't like, I'll tell you anyway: I made a comment about politicians last week saying that politicians especially Congress are less productive than people on Welfare and Unemployment. Which is actually a very true statement in way too many cases and their lack of productivity comes at taxpayer expense. Actually, people on Welfare and Unemployment are required by law to look for work, or be in job training or both. Members of Congress, already have jobs that are subsidized by taxpayers and they don't bother to them in way too many cases.

But this guy hated that line about comparing politicians with people on Welfare and Unemployment, because apparently it's politically incorrect and said that George Carlin wouldn't like the joke either. Even if he's right about George not liking the joke, he would at the very least defend the writer's right to make the joke and not have to face legal or court action against it, simply because someone was offended by it, because again he hated PC and loved free speech and free thought.

As far as George Carlin and what he thought about individualists and individualism: again, this is something else that he had in common with Ayn Rand, along with free speech, free thought, and personal freedom, which is individualism. So again, what wrong with comparing the two, especially if you're familiar with both? Yes, anyone who can read knows that there is no I in team, "but there is an I in individualism, independence, and integrity." Again back to the smartphones: but if you bother to put down your smartphone for more than a minute, ( why don't you go crazy and put down your phone for an entire 5 minutes and see if you're up to that challenge ) you'll be able to think for yourself and at least be able to examine for yourself what you've been seeing on your phone or computer, or TV.

When I was growing up, the worst grade that you can get in school was an F. The first letter in faddist is also f. I'm not saying that faddists, are the worst people in the world, especially if they also aren't murderers, rapists, terrorists, crooks, or other felons, but they're the less free and have the less freedom, because they're only interested in what's cool at the given moment and being cool. And will do, talk, dress, a certain way just to sound cool, because they want to fit in with the cool crowd, with whatever the hip clique is at the time.

But the individualist is a rebel, because the individualist, not only has brain but bothers to use it. And because of that is able to make their own decisions and do what's right for themself at any given moment, because they're not worried about being cool and popular and simply want to be judged for who they are as a person. Not based on what's their favorite coffee drink, or how often they go to coffee houses, or do they go at all, what kind of cell phone they have, how up to date they are on celebrity culture and reality TV, ( if they're interested in those things at all ) how they dress, how they talk, etc. But instead be judged by who they are as a person. The individualist, might not be the coolest person in the room, but they get the most respect and are the most trusted, because people know they'll tell them the truth and at least be honest, as well as intelligent. Which I believe George Carlin would agree with.
