Criminal Minds: Lauren Koslow - Suspect Behavior

Source:Real Life Journal

Lauren Koslow, is known as Kate Roberts of NBC’s Days of Our Lives. She might actually be better known as Kate Roberts, or Cutie Katie as I call her, than Lauren Koslow. Perhaps if she changed her name to Kate Roberts, she would be a more well-known star. Because she is a star and plays the, well lets say, tough babe on Days as well as it can be played. Tough, but straight-talking and straight-forward. She is a schemer on that show, but has no issues in letting people especially her opponents know where she stands on things and how she feels about people.

I didn’t see the full episode of this Criminal Minds show and have never been a regular viewer of the show and have only caught a few reruns of it. But what I saw in this video of Lauren playing a doctor, instead of the businesswomen she plays of Days, doesn’t look that much different from the women she plays on Days. Cutie Katie, (as I call her) is so freaking adorable, baby-face cute and gorgeous with the voice, hair, personality and sense of humor to match. And has a habit of pissing people off. Because she’s so straight-forward and blunt and simply doesn’t like many people. One, to defend her family and interests. But the other to simply get people she doesn’t like and sees as threats.

The Justine Bateman character on this show, if you’re familiar with Family Ties and Mallory Keaton, you know who Justine Bateman is. And she’s also the sister of comedic actor Jason Bateman. Is obviously not happy with Dr. What’s Her Name (no, I don’t think that’s her real name) played by Lauren Koslow. To the point she’s so angry with The Doctor that she’ll try to shut her up and tape her mouth shut. Well if you’re familiar Kate Roberts, again played by Lauren Koslow on Days, you know that tape and perhaps only knocking her unconscious will shut her up. So this character played by Lauren on Criminal Minds, doesn’t look that different from Kate Roberts from Days. At least to me.

The Nation: Opinion: Dave Zirin: Taking Back The Los Angeles Dodgers?: Public Ownership vs. Government Ownership

This post was originally posted at FRS Daily Journal on WordPress

I’m not a Socialist in any form, even though I do read The Nation Magazine and I’m in favor of a limited safety Net. Limited form of a safety net being the key words there. But as a Liberal I’m also not a big fan of centralized power, whether it comes from the private or public sectors. Liberals tend not to trust establishment power and like to see it spread around where a lot of the population can benefit from it. We like to see power whether it comes from the private or public sectors to benefit the many and not just the few.
I believe in capitalism and freedom of choice and decentralized Power. Where its spread around and the people can decide for themselves where to get their services from. The Green Bay Packers are an excellent example of this where they are run yes by a CEO, and Board of Directors and stockholders throughout the Green Bay area and the State of Wisconsin. The Packers don’t have one or a few people owning the club and collecting the profits. The Packers aren’t a socialist franchise that’s owned by the government, where the Mayor is essentially the boss of the club. Like Socialists in America have claimed that they are either. But they are owned by the people who are actual stakeholders in the Packers Club. And make money off of them with their stocks.
In today’s corporate dominated sports world, especially in pro team sports, the model of most if not each franchise in the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA except for the Packers, is that you have one person owning and running the club. Sometimes others as well, but there’s generally a majority owner of the club. MLS is an example of a sports league that has a similar management model as the Packers. But the other four have essentially a strongman running each club. Who’s accountable to no one, other than having to follow the rules of the league.
But for the most part are chief executive of the club accountable only to the profits and makes decisions, good or bad based on that. And these owners are essentially strongmen with no term limits or contracts that they have to sign. In most cases not even a Board of Directors that they have to respond to. So they can pretty much do whatever they want, again as long as they comply with league rules. The Los Angeles Dodgers one of the greatest franchises in both MLB and pro sports in general, at least historically, are going to up for sale. Because the McCourt couple that owns the club, are going through a divorce and their battle has turned into a public soap opera.
And the McCourt’s can no longer afford to run the club. This would be a great opportunity for MLB to install public not government, but public ownership of the club. Where they would have a CEO and their administration, but with a Board of Directors that would represent the stockholders. Meaning the people of Los Angeles and the surrounding market that owns stock in the club, would make profits with their stocks based on how the Dodgers are doing. Where the CEO has a contract and runs for election to get the job and reelection to keep the job. Where the Directors would run for their jobs and run for reelection to keep their jobs.
This would make the Dodgers Management as well as players accountable. And they would know that they need to do a good job to keep their job. The Dodger franchise is worth around 1B$ or more, in a city of 4M people, in a market of 15-17M people. They are a great franchise that would make a great investment for their fans.

CNN: Anderson Cooper: 'Keeping Michele Bachmann Honest'

Source:CNN- U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann is always a great candidate for Anderson Cooper's Ridiculist as well.

Source:The Daily Times

"Michele Bachmann, Queen Of The Dumb, Lies About Planned Parenthood. Michele Bachmann makes up a quote about a Planned Parenthood executive."

From Boobless 101

Back in the late 1990s and 2000s former President Bush chief political strategist Karl Rove, mastered the political strategy of divide and Conquer. He didn’t invent the political strategy. That probably happened with the Nixon Campaign, but nobody has done it better before or since.

When you know you’re in a tough election and your candidate isn’t very popular, instead of talking about what you’re good at and what you want to do, you try to destroy your opponent. So they seem worse than you are. And you take stories about your opponents and give the worst possible spin about them as you can come up with. To make your opponent look as bad as possible.

Which is exactly what Michele Bachmann has done ever since taking office in the House. And now running for President of the United States. Ah’ an American Citizen, she was born in America, she’s at least 35 years old, she’s free. So in her mind she’s as qualified as anyone else to run for President of the United States. Which by the way are her only qualifications to run for President of the United States.

Representative Bachmann is  an expert on nothing, except perhaps ignorance. Makes up things as she goes along and represents what happens when American voters vote style over substance. Representative Bachmann has style, but where’s the rest. Palin and Bachmann are both attractive, funny intentionally and unintentionally and have style. But neither one of them has any there, there.

As a Liberal Democrat my dream ticket for the Republican Party in 2012, are Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. Or in reverse order. The problem being that at least Sarah Palin understands that she’s not qualified to be President. At least not yet and Michele Bachmann hasn’t gotten that message. And the other problem even though there have been plenty of obvious clues put in front of her, being that the GOP is not dumb enough to nominate either one of them for President. And wouldn’t accept the other for Vice President.

Which is why I’ve always said that Sarah Palin is not going to run for President. Because the GOP Leadership has told her not to. And the Republican establishment would run away from her. I mean, can you imagine a Palin/Bachmann ticket or in reverse order. Against Obama/Biden, all the President has to do: “Look you may not like us, but look at the other crew spending all of their time denying and retracting things that they’ve said. Just trying to prove that they are qualified to be President and Vice President of the United States.”

President Obama would just have to say: “You got to reĆ«lect me for no other reason to prevent the other crew that doesn’t even understand their jobs that they are running for from being elected.” I mean can you imagine President Palin or Bachmann getting that famous 3AM call. What would their response be: “Don’t bother me, I’m sleeping. I’ll defend the country or respond to the crisis when the sun is up.” I’m expecting President Obama to get reelected in 2012 if for no other reason, because of their competition or lack of competition.

And the divisive primary’s that the Republican Party is about to face, where Iowa and New Hampshire could be won by two different candidates and neither one of them is named Mitt Romney. Which would force Romney to make a big play in South Carolina and make a divided Republican race even more divided. But a Palin/Bachmann ticket or the other way around would represent President Obama’s free ticket back to the White House.
