He's run out of credit: </div><div><br /></div><div>DJT's word is as useless as spitting on your burning house, after it just caught on fire, just to put out the fire. </div><div><br /></div><div>Or, driving a car without tires. </div><div><br /></div><div>Or, trying to fly a plane from the roof of the plane. </div><div><br /></div><div>Or, making a sandwich without bread, </div><div><br /></div><div>Drinking water with a fork. </div><div><br /></div><div>Try to walk without legs and feet. </div><div><br /></div><div>Donald Trump has essentially made his career and whatever money he still has left, off the backs and with other people's money. And now he's finally been caught and he's not only not a billionaire, but the only way he can the loans and the bond that he needs to to avoid losing his real estate empire, which at this point is just the properties that he still owes, is putting all that up for collateral. </div><div><br /></div><div>The problem with DJT putting up collateral is, that he doesn't want to do that because he's Donald Trump. And because of that, Donald Trump believes that he's entitled to live off of other people's money and never ever be forced to pay for the consequences of his own decisions. </div><div><br /></div><div>The problem with DJT's above the law attitude, well, just one problem with that attitude, is that banks and insurance companies, are in the business to make money. Not to lose money. And before they can give people loans, regardless of the amount of money that the potential borrower needs, they have to be assured that the potential borrower can and will pay them back. Donald Trump can't and won't give them that assurance. </div><div><br /></div><div>And as a consequence, Donald Trump will probably now, or in the next few months, will have to file for bankruptcy just to pay off the 500 million dollar judgements against him. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/18/harry-litman-donald-trump-finally-admits-defeat-as-financial-crisis-looms/">WordPress</a>.</div>Fred Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01435902200329566640noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-36838284529761269482024-03-15T13:29:00.000-07:002024-03-15T13:38:40.880-07:00Farron Cousins: 'Donald Trump Has No Idea How To Pay Fraud Trial Bond And He's Almost Out Of Time'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYiQ6zhG11D0ZEEznuMhAGZh3zuJ-ht3XzUvxm3yG80LmZCK3qv3_Gd_9Lvb-4rxikxSt1Qxag6Qt6bz-YNWMbSG0_J6uwnI2vr6SP6bsynr39Ene5msC_SyD36Lm2k-iGfB4xZat6a9PerUzGyQ4WpTM2tDnyfXT5ijXS-EhyIFviqnrZbZVkMJr2_ZI/s736/Trump%20Has%20No%20Idea%20How%20To%20Pay%20Fraud%20Trial%20Bond%20And%20He's%20Almost%20Out%20Of%20Time.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYiQ6zhG11D0ZEEznuMhAGZh3zuJ-ht3XzUvxm3yG80LmZCK3qv3_Gd_9Lvb-4rxikxSt1Qxag6Qt6bz-YNWMbSG0_J6uwnI2vr6SP6bsynr39Ene5msC_SyD36Lm2k-iGfB4xZat6a9PerUzGyQ4WpTM2tDnyfXT5ijXS-EhyIFviqnrZbZVkMJr2_ZI/s320/Trump%20Has%20No%20Idea%20How%20To%20Pay%20Fraud%20Trial%20Bond%20And%20He's%20Almost%20Out%20Of%20Time.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=8f2930e4a2593267&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn08qgR2rx_Eeb3LmXXal3xoIvTrMwg:1710533716339&q=Donald+Trump+Has+No+Idea+How+To+Pay+Fraud+Trial+Bond+And+He%27s+Almost+Out+Of+Time+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi9h6fUiveEAxUoGVkFHcuRBuYQ0pQJegQIDRAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1">Farron Cousins</a> with a look at Donald J. Broderick III, and his second wife, Linda Broderick, on November 5, 1989. At a second trial that began on December 11, 1991, she was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and later sentenced to 32-years-to-life in prison. The case received extensive media attention. Several books were written on the Broderick case, and a TV movie was televised in two parts. In 2020, an 8-episode miniseries was produced and aired about Broderick. An article about Broderick's case in the Los Angeles Times Magazine led to the production of a television film called (Part 1) A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story, and (Part 2) Her Final Fury: Betty Broderick, The Last Chapter (1992), where Meredith Baxter portrayed Betty, Stephen Collins portrayed Dan, and Michelle Johnson portrayed Linda Kolkena. Baxter received an Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of Broderick. The murder was also dramatized in the season 4 episode of Deadly Women, titled "Till Death Do Us Part." The murders occurred at 5:30 a.m. on November 5, 1989—two days before Betty's 42nd birthday. Two bullets hit Linda in the head and chest, killing her instantly; one bullet hit Dan in the chest as he apparently was reaching for the phone; one bullet hit the wall, and one bullet hit a nightstand. Betty's explanation at both trials was that she never planned to kill Dan and Linda and that her crime was not premeditated. Her account of the murders at her second trial was that she was startled by Kolkena screaming "Call the police!" and immediately fired the gun.</div><div><br /></div><div>Linda and Dan Broderick are listed as having been buried together, at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego." </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_Broderick">Wikipedia</a></div><div><br /></div><div>The old expression two things can be right at the same time comes into play here. A woman can be both beautiful and adorable (take Christina Randall, just to use as example) at the same time. She can be gorgeous and intelligent. She can be a homemaker and a career woman. Someone (man or woman) can be a victim like in this case of her husband being a workaholic, as well as his adultery. But then she can take it too far and not just intentionally murder her cheating husband, but murder his wife, while they're asleep in bed. Which is what Betty Broderick did to her husband Dan and his new wife Linda.</div><div><br /></div><div>If you watch the literal beginning of Christina Randall's video here, you see a clip of Betty Broderick testifying for herself at her trial and she literally says: "Things just started coming down on me. And I couldn't stand it for another minute." </div><div><br /></div><div>I'm not a police detective, not a prosecutor, not a psychiatrist, but that sounds more like a suicide note, than justification for breaking into someone else's home, in the middle of the night, go upstairs in Dan and Linda's bedroom, while they're sleeping and shoot them in bed, with her own gun until they're both dead. </div><div><br /></div><div>This is not just a clear case of murder one, but a double homicide here. She planned the murders of two people and then murdered them all. by herself. It's one thing she comes home or goes to his office and she finds her husband having sex with another woman. And then she freaks out and goes crazy with whatever is around her and uses that to murder both Dan and Linda. That would be a clear case of murder 2. And she's probably out of prison right now. But she planned the murders of two innocent people, who represented no threat whatsoever to her physical well-being, her life, or anyone whose around her. </div><div><br /></div><div>If America was some theocracy or this case happened down in Mississippi or some other Bible Belt state and adultery was illegal, Dan Broderick is not just guilty here, but he's also guilty and of being a bad husband to her wife. And not talking financially or physically, but emotionally. But America is not Iran or Saudi Arabia and adultery is not illegal anywhere in America. (As far as I know) And besides, this happened in California, where adultery and free love, are actually promoted, or at least encouraged. At least in hippie San Francisco, or Berkeley, or Los Angeles. Actually, Newsmax and MAGA are one-in-the-same. I don't feel sorry for Greg Kelly, because unless he was kidnapped and forced to do this interview with Donald Trump, (perhaps by some deep state Democrats and Republicans, who are simply out to make Donald Trump look bad. According to MAGA) he didn't have to do this interview. </div><div><br /></div><div>But I guess my impressions of the Kelly-Trump interview are: </div><div><br /></div><div>For one, I'm glad it was Greg Kelly and not me. Because watching this interview, it looks like a horrible comedy act. Except that it's so funny because of how bad it is. Like the guy with a million corny jokes, but you are always laughing at them because of how bad they are: "What kind of tree barks? Dogwood!!!"</div><div><br /></div><div>But the Greg Kelly-Donald Trump interview looks like a bad comedy act because Greg Kelly, like any responsible MAGA journalist or political operative (if there are such things) he was simply trying to make Donald J. Trump look like a man and a human being. </div><div><br /></div><div>And how does Mr. Trump respond to that favor and gesture by Mr. Kelly? He goes into some high on acid (pun intended) conspiracy theory about acid being responsible for Donald Trump illegally grabbing the classified documents that he stole, when he was leaving The White House in 2021 and taking them down to Mar-A-Lago. With Greg Kelly I guess sitting there, perhaps trying not to laugh at the former President's face, as he was speaking to him.</div><div><br /></div><div>This whole attempt at an interview, just goes to show you that even MAGA is worried about Donald Trump. Probably not him personally, because he's simply just the leader of their political cult. But politically, even they believe that Mr. Trump is in a helluva lot of trouble, not just legally with all the evidence that's coming out against him right now, but more in the spring and summer, as well as criminal as multiple criminal, felony convictions in New York. And as Jesse Dollemore said so himself: MAGA is trying to make this man seem likable to more voters. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/14/jesse-dollemore-confused-trump-rambles-about-hillary-clinton-using-literal-acid-on-hard-drives/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-29880460980046957212024-03-14T12:03:00.000-07:002024-03-14T12:04:15.807-07:00Michael Smerconish: Aaron Rodgers: Sandy Hook & Other MAGA Conspiracy Theories<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmE5vmR7EV2JMNPUxO_Ql0wh8pUQYRheWbNViLDDNvNp9Trl6DByjhCRoXS8i5fG47By31qTbpPUT2guEywbXYfKen5hwbVxG-_u1_QSavIdg2Rs03vpIdapADzQX5Iao_97fXPnU1v9iTANLLgh9geJtRGjdu7GZABMkPU8jgA4aaUbN3DiYEMbPeQEE/s735/Michael%20Smerconish_%20_They're%20All%20Actors_%20(2024)%20-%20Google%20Search.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="413" data-original-width="735" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmE5vmR7EV2JMNPUxO_Ql0wh8pUQYRheWbNViLDDNvNp9Trl6DByjhCRoXS8i5fG47By31qTbpPUT2guEywbXYfKen5hwbVxG-_u1_QSavIdg2Rs03vpIdapADzQX5Iao_97fXPnU1v9iTANLLgh9geJtRGjdu7GZABMkPU8jgA4aaUbN3DiYEMbPeQEE/s320/Michael%20Smerconish_%20_They're%20All%20Actors_%20(2024)%20-%20Google%20Search.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=23fe561e8cb38367&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn0_C6vgEDPNUxgvPKRObs1Pc9FLoVg:1710440718976&q=Michael+Smerconish:+%22They%27re+All+Actors%22+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjGzNqbsPSEAxWIEVkFHareBdoQ0pQJegQIDBAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1#imgrc=VDhKWixPHmUtSM">Michael Smerconish</a>- just to correct the record: Aaron Rodgers has never actually played an NFL game for the New York Jets. Kennedy Jr. has confirmed that among his potential vice-presidential prospects is New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who in private conversations shared deranged conspiracy theories about the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting not being real.</div><div><br /></div><div>CNN knows of two people with whom Rodgers has enthusiastically shared these stories, including with Pamela Brown, one of the journalists writing this piece.</div><div><br /></div><div>Brown was covering the Kentucky Derby for CNN in 2013 when she was introduced to Rodgers, then with the Green Bay Packers, at a post-Derby party. Hearing that she was a journalist with CNN, Rodgers immediately began attacking the news media for covering up important stories. Rodgers brought up the tragic killing of 20 children and 6 adults by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary School, claiming it was actually a government inside job and the media was intentionally ignoring it.</div><div><br /></div><div>When Brown questioned him on the evidence to show this very real shooting was staged, Rodgers began sharing various theories that have been disproven numerous times. Such conspiracy theories were also later at the center of lawsuits brought by victims’ families when they sued conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on the matter.</div><div><br /></div><div>Jones baselessly repeating lies that the 2012 mass shooting was staged, and that the families and first responders were “crisis actors,” spawned multiple lawsuits and a trial was held in 2022 over lawsuits that were filed in Connecticut.</div><div><br /></div><div>Family members throughout that trial described in poignant terms how the lies had prompted unrelenting harassment against them and compounded the emotional agony of losing their loved ones.</div><div><br /></div><div>Brown recalls Rodgers asking her if she thought it was off that there were men in black in the woods by the school, falsely claiming those men were actually government operatives. Brown found the encounter disturbing.</div><div><br /></div><div>CNN has spoken to another person with a similar story. This person, to whom CNN has granted anonymity so as to avoid harassment, recalled that several years ago, Rodgers claimed, “Sandy Hook never happened…All those children never existed. They were all actors.”</div><div><br /></div><div>When asked about the grieving parents, the source recalled Rodgers saying, “They’re all making it up. They’re all actors.”</div><div><br /></div><div>Rodgers went on to delve into some of the darker caverns of the false conspiracy theory. This person found the encounter disturbing.</div><div><br /></div><div>On Thursday, Rodgers did not deny the comments he made to Brown or the other source, but said on X, “As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community.” </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/13/politics/aaron-rodgers-sandy-hook-conspiracy-theories/index.html">CNN</a></div><div><br /></div><div>When I first saw this story, my first reaction is how the hell did Aaron Rodgers ever even get into California Berkeley, let alone graduate from there. I know Cal Berkeley is home to radicals, along with the rest of the City of Berkeley, and the entire San Francisco area for that matter. But those folks are left-wing, hippie radicals, who in some cases still think it's 1968 or 69, and they're still trying to take down the man. Because they're so high, they're simply lost in space and perhaps not just mentally. </div><div><br /></div><div>What Aaron Rodgers and Robert Kennedy JR. represent, are MAGA radicals. People who think that every school shooting, is an inside job by the deep state or something. Or as Mr. Rodgers put it: "All those kids who died we're just acting." He would be perfect for RFK JR. for the simple fact that they think alike. (And calling that thinking is very generous) As well as having no qualifications to even serve as a baggage handler for the Vice President of the United States, let alone actually being Vice President of the United States. </div><div><br /></div><div>I already made my point about RFK JR., but he represents the Donald Trump voters who are still in love with Donald Trump, but simply believe that Donald Trump can't get elected again because he''ll either lose, or Democrats will still steal the election. MAGA voters are not what you would call Ivy League graduates. To them, the Ivy League is just a football division or something. But these voters want an alternative to Donald Trump, because they don't think Trump will beat Joe Biden in November.</div></div>Fred Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01435902200329566640noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-11452028879449336902024-03-13T14:07:00.000-07:002024-03-13T14:27:59.329-07:00The Bulwark: Jonathan Last, Sarah Longwell & Tim Miller: 'RNC BLOODBATH After Trump Takeover! But I imagine what happened at the RNC in Washington yesterday, was an Apprentice episode, where Donald Trump comes in at the end and tells everybody or somebody, that: "you're fired!" </div><div><br /></div><div>The Bulwark already covered this. But I would just add that the Republican National Committee, at one point really was the Grand Ole Party. It was the brain center of what was once the greatest center-right party, at least, in the whole world. It was a place where The Bulwark's Tim Miller used to work. And now it's just one of Donald Trump's private enterprises (which means it's doomed to go bankrupt) and now just in the business to finance Donald Trump's lifestyle and legal bills. </div><div><br /></div><div>And while the RNC is not just DJT's personal and legal slush fund, Republicans across the country who are in tough races in the House, Senate, but governor's races as well, are in real jeopardy of losing, simply because they'll be denied the financial resources that would normally come from the RNC, to help finance their political campaigns. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/13/the-bulwark-jonathan-last-sarah-longwell-tim-miller-rnc-bloodbath-after-trump-takeover-robert-hur-testifies-nancy-maces-vp-audition/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-46199243699328522522024-03-13T11:49:00.000-07:002024-03-13T12:05:35.554-07:00CNN: Anderson Cooper 360: 'Maggie Haberman Previews What To Expect From Donald Trump’s Next Trials'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42IywnlqELjaR4w4M2bMQruvs2iez_6imXBNuhOHPYVXx9GM2Xvs3yDWDIuBW6rJB4PKk8I7rki6WCXs44v2azs1mJooq9SO5w9xSr_v42RvxvAnMjmART_yuKMcO6KfcDE_hLLSC3zjE-qpGEgu_UMW1Y-0bhyphenhyphenfwz2Cew4TTlMFpZxi_kNs8Peqj_ik/s736/_%20-%202024-03-13T142640.988.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42IywnlqELjaR4w4M2bMQruvs2iez_6imXBNuhOHPYVXx9GM2Xvs3yDWDIuBW6rJB4PKk8I7rki6WCXs44v2azs1mJooq9SO5w9xSr_v42RvxvAnMjmART_yuKMcO6KfcDE_hLLSC3zjE-qpGEgu_UMW1Y-0bhyphenhyphenfwz2Cew4TTlMFpZxi_kNs8Peqj_ik/s320/_%20-%202024-03-13T142640.988.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=8154e9ae6af1589a&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn0-XyA70goWoutr4aSy7Qfeduwl-hQ:1710354466508&q=Maggie+Haberman+Previews+What+To+Expect+From+Donald+Trump%E2%80%99s+Next+Trials+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiZ3qnz7vGEAxU2LFkFHfrsDlQQ0pQJegQIERAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1#imgrc=QX7W4exmBBt-4M">CNN</a> political analyst & New York Times national political reporter/Donald Trump whisperer Maggie Haberman.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"New York Times reporter and CNN senior political analyst Maggie Haberman discusses how former President Donald Trump plans to woo voters away from President Biden in the 2024 presidential race. This is a municipal case, meaning there's no Federal jurisdiction here (unless the Supreme Court claims absolute power) and what he's being charged with in Manhattan, happened 3 months before he ever became any sort of Federal official whatsoever, let alone President of the United States. As well as all the evidence in this case that again happened before he was even elected President in 2016.</div><div><br /></div><div>So hopefully Judge Juan Merchan will take this appeal quickly and rule against it quickly, as well as denying any stay that the Trump team will probably ask for, why they try to appeal it. But if he shot it today, he's the behind the ball on this. Because before Donald Trump can lose a trial, just like before anyone else can lose a trial, you have to get to trial first. Just before you have a glass of water, there has to be water in your glass first. Otherwise you are just trying to drink from an empty glass, perhaps hoping for a last drop or something. And as I wrote yesterday about this case... </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2024/03/michael-popok-donald-trump-braces-for.html">The New Democrat</a></div><div><br /></div><div>My other point here is about Donald Trump using his Manhattan trial (if there ever is a Manhattan trial and conviction before the election) has to do with the old legal advice that defendants should never speak publicly about their ongoing court case, without that advice from their lawyer. Meaning they shouldn't speak to the public about their ongoing court case, without their lawyer agreeing that is even a good idea. Why? Because anything that a defendant says publicly about their own court case, can come back and be used against them in their case by the prosecution. </div><div><br /></div><div>If you are familiar with Donald Trump, you know that he can sound like an inmate in jail, waiting on his trial, whose so proud of his crime or crimes, that he either doesn't believe he should even be charged at all, or he simply doesn't care what happens to him as a result. So as a result, this jail inmate, blabbers to other inmates about the crimes he's committed, before he's actually convicted of anything. He gives away his store, before there's any offer to even buy his store. Imagine jail inmate whose also a nihilist. He simply doesn't care what happens to him. </div><div><br /></div><div>Donald Trump has a bad habit for himself, but great for the public, at incriminating himself, simply because he lacks all self-discipline and believes he's above the law. So Donald Trump speaking in public about his own criminal trial, with all that evidence and all those witnesses, who either used to work for him, or had an affair with him, should be welcome news to the Manhattan District Attorney and perhaps the Biden White House as well. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/13/cnn-anderson-cooper-360-maggie-haberman-previews-what-to-expect-from-donald-trumps-next-trials/">WordPress</a>.</div>Fred Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01435902200329566640noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-76452690586865624022024-03-12T14:08:00.000-07:002024-03-12T14:21:29.236-07:00Michael Popok: 'Donald Trump BRACES For Losing in Criminal Trial'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0lBBByrm02yDILz3rk5NjOJ-rnKx1RdVSa__xnweKhqXWb1Hud90t02LJqQDNcDjLx51hDjUrqh5AIMN_VFzglRePnC0Rd9ZCAcg6zBZsSowq5LB0Dz368owxOpddOsmjlFpgw_-P3R4VJiFrz7HYFOEwWanyDH4pT-lRlE-LXHXgK4iQ7DW5zuOjUlY/s736/_%20-%202024-03-12T163930.168.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0lBBByrm02yDILz3rk5NjOJ-rnKx1RdVSa__xnweKhqXWb1Hud90t02LJqQDNcDjLx51hDjUrqh5AIMN_VFzglRePnC0Rd9ZCAcg6zBZsSowq5LB0Dz368owxOpddOsmjlFpgw_-P3R4VJiFrz7HYFOEwWanyDH4pT-lRlE-LXHXgK4iQ7DW5zuOjUlY/s320/_%20-%202024-03-12T163930.168.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=bbe8785fd3a19ac1&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn0-0y9c-ZW2A4QxmZC_Hys0s9hxbkw:1710276012443&q=Donald+Trump+BRACES+for+Losing+in+Criminal+Trial+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiJrsHRyu-EAxWZLFkFHeUSB1MQ0pQJegQICxAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1">Meidas Touch</a>- left to right: Manhattan, New York Judge Juan Merchan & Defendant Don.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"Trump is 0-7 in CIVIL AND CRIMINAL cases against him in the US and internationally, with 30 jurors in 3 cases ruling UNANIMOUSLY against him, resulting in $600 million in judgments; 17 FELONY TAX FRAUD CONVICTIONS, and tens of millions of dollars in fines and penalties. But if you are a very wealthy man, or in Donald Trump's case you think, or want to be a very wealthy man, but you are somewhat financially suicidal and perhaps have considered taking a suitcase with a lot of your money and driving it to the middle of a bridge and dumping your money in the water, I have a better suggestion for you. Hire Alina Habba as your lawyer. </div><div><br /></div><div>Maybe Alina won't bankrupt you overnight. Perhaps not even Alina Habba is that incompetent, but over the next few years, you'll not only have to pay her, but she'll lose every case for that you are involved in. I mean if you ever get picked up for speeding and decide to take your case to court, don't pick her as your lawyer. Because you'll end up doing a year in county jail for speeding. Instead of paying just a 100 dollar fine, had you just represented yourself. </div><div><br /></div><div>From what I said about Alina Habba back in November: </div><div><br /></div><div>"Alina Habba is not really a trial lawyer. She can barely afford to do whatever she does as a lawyer right now. She's more of a public relations lawyer, if anything at all, who makes her living trying her client's cases on TV and on social media. But she's officially Donald Trump's civil lawyer right now because she's about the best of what's left to try to defend him, because of his own financial situation and all the evidence that's against him right now, in multiple cases. </div><div><br /></div><div>Perhaps one of the reasons right now that Alina Habba owes millions of dollars, is because her own client is not paying her. But she's trying to work for him anyway, perhaps banking on the fact that defending a former President of the United States, would lead to clients who can and would pay her very well for her legal advice and actions in the future. But that career strategy is obviously not working out for her right now." </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2023/11/ben-meiselas-alina-habba-financial.html">The New Democrat</a></div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/12/michael-popok-donald-trump-braces-for-losing-in-criminal-trial/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-60070050105536627942024-03-12T12:12:00.000-07:002024-03-12T12:26:42.212-07:00The Daily Show: 'Jon Stewart Calls BS On Donald Trump & The GOP's Performative Patriotism'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMxehJwWqppnz-Z7x-RwoyHqgEtb-7W6q6wpDkuvixHMPHpdKOMcNDRhw8mo9vlS6WbCios-TQxvtfLYsHQUvU4khdcpA_ePbVV4vnMOkeq7gF4ndy7ZNcgeS9WAFS1j6lInaQKIKf2SCKSQ52VOt7rbDDwcPM4aHWcB_nPLu3dY2ZXj7iJ6g5Iy9iDA/s736/_%20-%202024-03-12T144250.408.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwMxehJwWqppnz-Z7x-RwoyHqgEtb-7W6q6wpDkuvixHMPHpdKOMcNDRhw8mo9vlS6WbCios-TQxvtfLYsHQUvU4khdcpA_ePbVV4vnMOkeq7gF4ndy7ZNcgeS9WAFS1j6lInaQKIKf2SCKSQ52VOt7rbDDwcPM4aHWcB_nPLu3dY2ZXj7iJ6g5Iy9iDA/s320/_%20-%202024-03-12T144250.408.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=7479081811d2e948&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn0-DftCjfllO44P_JgRBjTLJG1a6cA:1710269025967&q=Jon+Stewart+Calls+BS+on+Trump+%26+the+GOP%27s+Performative+Patriotism+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj9-YzOsO-EAxUtKlkFHYhtDkMQ0pQJegQICRAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1#imgrc=zuZJ9UZFqUVpEM">The Daily Show</a> With Jon Stewart with a look at the State of the Union.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"Jon Stewart unpacks Biden’s fired-up State of the Union and Katie Britt’s disastrous GOP kitchen rebuttal, then calls bulls**t on conservatives branding themselves the party of “true American patriots” and wrapping themselves in the Constitution, while their leader Trump's rhetoric sounds more like an undemocratic king." <div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJUl77rsFEw">The Daily Show</a></div><div><br /></div><div>As far as President Joe Biden's state of the union speech: if you were to see a preview of the speech, you might think that President Biden would've been rewarded and given credit for just showing up to the right room where the speech was given, or even getting to the right building, not tripping over his own feet as we walked through the House chamber and up to the Speaker's podium. Especially as someone who has parents who are even older than Donald Trump. As well as someone who had all 4 grandparents growing up. But that's exactly what Donald Trump is. He's mentally a juvenile outlaw, who believes the rules of society don't apply to him, to the point that he'l come up with the lamest excuses possible, just to buy time for himself, so he doesn't have to deal with the consequences of his own screw ups. </div><div><br /></div><div>The Manhattan, New York case against Donald Trump, is the best case in the sense, if you are someone who believes in law and order in America, as well as opposing Donald Trump, because it's the easiest. Each time he spoke, Rockefeller paused and looked out into the crow before making his move, “It is essential that this Convention repudiate here and now any doctrinaire, militant minority, whether Communist, Ku Klux Klan or Bircher which would subvert this party to purposes alien to the very basic tenets which gave this party birth.”</div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://pastdaily.com/2020/08/25/convention-1964-nelson-rockefeller-and-the-creeping-extremism-of-the-gop-july-14-1964/">Past Daily</a></div><div><br /></div><div>I don't think that Governor Rockefeller was speaking out so much against Senator Barry Goldwater here, as he was speaking out against the far-right, or what would be called the alt-right, or the nationalist-right, that you see in America, especially in the Republican Party. If this speech was about Senator Goldwater, who was Jewish, (by the way) and Jews being people that the far-right has always hated, then the Governor obviously didn't know the Senator very well. </div><div><br /></div><div>What Nelson Rockefeller was really doing here, was taking one last stand for the Progressive Republicans. I know Progressive Republican sounds like someone who calls themself a Libertarian Communist, or a a wingless airplane, or looks like a goldfish with feet, walking on the beach. But, if you are a political history junky such as myself, you know what's called the modern Republican Party today, (what some people call the MAGA Party) was not the Republican Party 60 years ago. or even 40 years ago. </div><div><br /></div><div>Pre-Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, the Republican Party had two dominant factions in it: Progressives from the Northeast and West Coast. And I'm not talking about hippie-leftists from Vermont, Greenwich, Manhattan, in New York, or San Francisco. But people who believed in progress and that government could play a limited role in seeing that as many Americans as possible, of all backgrounds, could succeed in America, if only given the the opportunity. That the private market couldn't take care of everybody, or that it could be unregulated. That's the wing of the Republican Party that Nelson represented, as well as Dwight Eisenhower and Tom Dewey before him and many others. </div><div><br /></div><div>So in 1964, sort of in response to the Democratic Party not just being in complete charge in Washington, with not just The White House, but the entire Congress, Supreme Court, they controlled most of the states as well, the right-wing of the party, including the populist-right, that part of Barry Goldwater's movement, but who even to the right of him politically, took over the party. And in 1964, this new, emerging, right-wing movement in he Republican Party, now controlled the Republican Party. </div><div><br /></div><div>And at the 1964 RNC, Governor Rockefeller stood up and gave one last attempt during the election, to speak out for the Progressive elitists in the Republican Party, that he was part of, to try prevent this right-wing takeover of the Republican Party. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/11/governor-nelson-rockefeller-1964-republican-national-convention-speech/">WordPress</a>.</div>Fred Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01435902200329566640noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-73732404983009890732024-03-08T14:04:00.000-08:002024-03-08T14:15:06.553-08:00Farron Cousins: 'Alina Habba Could Be In Serious Trouble After Possibly Lying To Judge'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSEi7tJuDTyLBl3-s_NQxnLreuFubKhprxWo80FejSPwAaxO1y1scvJCZmgdeK7m2ldCDhy-80eefNV4EnyC0oFpIXMderksx7VqPPCTWw38DfG5hWpjxtI3YB6YaSpYPw3DhbY44T3eD8VjeH4UsN4gAPpUfF4To_9yJmtlVZ2dU4zE6aVoZA-u7cUrQ/s736/_%20-%202024-03-08T164641.741.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSEi7tJuDTyLBl3-s_NQxnLreuFubKhprxWo80FejSPwAaxO1y1scvJCZmgdeK7m2ldCDhy-80eefNV4EnyC0oFpIXMderksx7VqPPCTWw38DfG5hWpjxtI3YB6YaSpYPw3DhbY44T3eD8VjeH4UsN4gAPpUfF4To_9yJmtlVZ2dU4zE6aVoZA-u7cUrQ/s320/_%20-%202024-03-08T164641.741.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=954b93ba754f5c0c&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn0-Meo7d5IHg6gh0ENFkSQJJEiXZkg:1709934447345&q=Alina+Habba+Could+Be+In+Serious+Trouble+After+Possibly+Lying+To+Judge+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjtwMqa0uWEAxUHFFkFHUOjCRIQ0pQJegQIDRAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1">Farron Balanced</a> with a look at Donald J. Trump's Manhattan, New York civil attorney & perhaps Trump University graduate, Alina Habba.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"Donald Trump's lawyers Alina Habba and Clifford Robert could be in serious trouble now that Allen Weisselberg has accepted a plea deal for lying under oath. Several weeks ago, Judge Arthur Engoron demanded answers from the two Trump lawyers about a possible plea deal after it was reported in The New York Times, and both lawyers decided to NOT actually answer the judge's request and instead told him not to believe everything he reads. If they had knowledge of the plea deal in advance, they could both be facing serious legal consequences over these responses, as Farron Cousins explains." <div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1hqm0gkzhI">Farron Cousins</a></div><div><br /></div><div><div>So what Farron Cousins is talking about here, is that a lawyer can’t knowingly put on a witness, whose going to give either false statements, or just flat out lie. Meaning, you have to at the very least know what your witness is going to say, at the very least is going to be honest. The old phrase courtroom: “To the best of my knowledge” come into play here. Any competent, responsible, experienced, credible lawyer, that Cliff Robert should be at this point, whose been practicing law for like 30 years, already knows that. Alina Habba, who of course is a different story.</div><div><br /></div><div>The Habba/Robert response to them using perjurers as witnesses, has always been: “Oh yeah! Well, what about the prosecution using Michael Cohen as a witness?” Which of course is always a very adult response. Nothing more mature then someone starting a sentence with “oh yeah”, or, “what about the other guy?”. Well, mature, responsible, and professional, for a member of a high school freshman debating team.</div><div><br /></div><div>But Alina Habba and Cliff Robert miss the point, as usual. Sort of like the gunslinger who fires the gun at himself, instead of the target. The fact is Michael Cohen was just used by the New York Attorney General, to back up other witnesses’s testimony, as well as documents. Not to offer new information.</div><div><br /></div></div><div>Again, from what I said about Alina Habba back in November: </div><div><br /></div><div>"Alina Habba is not really a trial lawyer. But that career strategy is obviously not working out for her right now." </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2023/11/ben-meiselas-alina-habba-financial.html">The New Democrat</a></div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/08/farron-cousins-alina-habba-could-be-in-serious-trouble-after-possibly-lying-to-judge/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-36803625303901075412024-03-08T12:15:00.000-08:002024-03-08T16:31:01.916-08:00The Bulwark: Tim Miller: 'Katie Britt's UNCOMFORTABLE Response To The SOTU! I mean giving the opposition response to the State of the Union speech, just after the President of the United States spoke not just to the entire Congress, but a lot of the country as well, and you are a freshman U.S. Senator, as well as member of Congress, (which is what Senator Katie Britt is) can be like performing on a concert stage, just after the main event is over and leaves, while the fans are exiting the arena. Imagine being a high school band, that takes the stage just after the Rolling Stones (or whatever band you prefer) but you are still trying to keep what’s left the audience’s attention anyway.</div><div><br /></div><div>The SOTU opposition response, is not even a warmup act. It’s more like the closing credits and music to a film at a movie theater. Even though you are trying to represent the opposition party as far as what they think about what the President just said and the current State of the Union. As Tim Miller said, at best one of these speeches is an opportunity for an unknown politician, to get some national attention and a chance to hit on some key talking points. And during a presidential election year, a chance to tryout for the vice presidential nomination on national TV.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now having said on that, either Senator Britt got some really, horrible advice, but she took it anyway, or she’s simply not ready for prime time. Donald Trump and the rest of the MAGA wing of what’s left of the Republican Party, is getting buried by Democrats when it comes to female voters. As much as MAGA wants people to think it’s still the 1950s, or they want to take us back there, the average American woman today works out of the home.</div><div><br /></div><div>So what does Senator Britt do here? She gives her speech not just from her Alabama home, but from her kitchen. And as Olivia Troye said, who worked for Vice President Mike Pence in the Trump White House, the kitchen: “Representing exactly where many of these men in the GOP think all women belong…</div><div><br /></div><div>As far as the performance itself: was I watching CNN, or Bravo TV? Perhaps a block of not just soap operas and reality TV shows, but that they were showing the tryouts for these shows and giving people and idea of what their cast members go through before they pick their cast.</div><div><br /></div><div>This speech didn’t even look like good acting on Senator Britt’s part. More like a high school sophomore whose never even being in a community play, let alone a high school play, trying out for the very first time in a high school play. I'll let the far-left and the MAGA people take care of that. But I just want to give you something to think about here before I get off race and ethnicity in this post. </div><div><br /></div><div>In this year's North Carolina governor's race, they'll have a Jewish Democrat, running against an antisemite, homophobic and anti-women, Republican. (Actually, Republican In Name Only) Just think about that for a minute. With all the closeted antisemites coming out of the closet on the far-left in and out of the Democratic Party, because the Israeli-Hamas war, the Democratic Party in North Carolina, has nominated the Attorney General Josh Stein, whose Jewish and proud of his heritage, to run against one of the sons of the African-American civil rights movement, who without that movement, might not even be eligible to vote, let alone run for office in North Carolina, simply because of his race.</div><div><br /></div><div>Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is about as bigoted a man as MAGA could possibly dream of: </div><div><br /></div><div>He thinks women shouldn't have the right to vote and should just be servants to men. </div><div><br /></div><div>That gays should be locked up and homosexuality should be outlawed. </div><div><br /></div><div>That the Holocaust in Europe, never happened. </div><div><br /></div><div>North Carolina was going to be close anyway just because of how big and urban it is now. Charlotte with over 750,000 people is one of the biggest and most ethnically and racially diverse cities in the country and it's also a major metro area. And then you have the Raleigh-Durham-Winston Salem region as well, plus Greensboro and a lot of racially and ethnically diverse college towns. North Carolina demographically is very similar to let's say Virginia and Georgia now. </div><div><br /></div><div>And when you have a large Democratic turnout and Democratic candidates statewide, who aren't Holocaust deniers, (let's say) who aren't anti-law enforcement, anti-military, ant-business, anti-wealth, etc, this state might even lean Democrat, under those conditions. But instead mainstream Democrats, who get out the minority vote, but who don't represent those left-wing weaknesses, Democrats can definitely win statewide, even in North Carolina today.</div><div><br /></div><div>So you have all these demographics going against the North Carolina Republican Party. So what do they do? Do they nominate normal, center-right, Republicans, who actually do represent what's left of the Grand Ole Party, who can compete for urban, suburban, female and minority voters? Of course not. Don't be silly. What they do instead, is take a political shotgun, aim it at their feet, and fire until they either run out of bullets or toes. That's what they're getting in 2024 with Donald Trump and Mark Robinson at the top their ticket. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/07/ben-meiselas-gop-makes-massive-mistake-in-key-swing-state/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-29900355948440343842024-03-07T11:46:00.000-08:002024-03-07T11:56:36.550-08:00CNN: The Source With Kaitlan Collins: Maggie Haberman: 'This Issue Has Been Worrying Donald Trump’s Team For Months' <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLoiM6KP7ZOVzITd19ubr9nv_DK2lwpiPtJE72bUN92KHzNYLEHNpYj98hs0tbdppwPPwWo4UrgfBUAqOBBSlS5D56JBRmmR1BdnIhWKFw-KgXrXYZO9pUsLJqkrHpjrv4S300DkWa6mF4DU-goOonjtoIeEB0t3g8Z5QsYrOtE2-5gcNZUJKj9CEroUs/s736/Haberman_%20This%20issue%20has%20been%20worrying%20Trump%E2%80%99s%20team%20for%20months.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLoiM6KP7ZOVzITd19ubr9nv_DK2lwpiPtJE72bUN92KHzNYLEHNpYj98hs0tbdppwPPwWo4UrgfBUAqOBBSlS5D56JBRmmR1BdnIhWKFw-KgXrXYZO9pUsLJqkrHpjrv4S300DkWa6mF4DU-goOonjtoIeEB0t3g8Z5QsYrOtE2-5gcNZUJKj9CEroUs/s320/Haberman_%20This%20issue%20has%20been%20worrying%20Trump%E2%80%99s%20team%20for%20months.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=67393e17c4183385&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn09tFhVZ4LDmPT6I262NX1UtBis3SA:1709839558541&q=Maggie+Haberman:+This+Issue+Has+Been+Worrying+Donald+Trump%E2%80%99s+Team+For+Months+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjUponc8OKEAxVREFkFHT1iD_8Q0pQJegQIDhAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1">CNN</a> talking to New York Times national political reporter Maggie Haberman.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"New York Times reporter and CNN senior political analyst Maggie Haberman tells CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about the fundraising obstacles former President Trump is confronting in his campaign." <div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT9E4zRwuGY">CNN</a></div><div><br /></div><div>"Donald Trump, who is urgently seeking a cash infusion to aid his presidential campaign, met on Sunday in Palm Beach, Fla., with Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men, and a few wealthy Republican donors, according to three people briefed on the meeting who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private discussion.</div><div><br /></div><div>Mr. Trump and his team are working to find additional major donors to shore up his finances as he heads into an expected general election against President Biden. He could write his campaign a check for 100 million, or whatever he needed to make up the financial hole that he has with the Biden Campaign.</div><div><br /></div><div>But, since we now know that Donald Trump is not only not a billionaire, but someone who before all these financial and legal problems, was worth maybe 200 million dollars, instead of the 6 billion that he's been claiming for at least the last 8 years and he has over 550 million dollars in judgements, that he either has to pay, or go bankrupt, (unless a real billionaire bails him out) as well as the fact that Mr. Trump is really just running for President to stay out of prison and get back at the people who've been doing their jobs reporting the actual facts about him, really since he was President, if not before, Donald Trump's personal life and lack of personal discipline, has been writing checks, that he'll probably never have the money to pay for. </div><div><br /></div><div>By May of 2024, one of the major political party presidential nominees, will be a bankrupt, convicted felon. And I'll give you a clue: it won't be the current President of the United States. Greene, whose perhaps the most mentally ill of all the MAGA members, at least in the U.S. House, perhaps will never understand, is that just because your followers think you speak the word of GOD, (meaning Donald J. Trump) and you always speak the truth, that doesn't mean people who follow you, (meaning they just keep up with you to see what you are up too and what you are saying) won't see what you are saying. And that your words won't come back to bite you. </div><div><br /></div><div>I guess my point here is, you can delete all your crazy Facebook posts and your tweets. But when you speak in public, it's not just the politically escaped mental patents (also known as MAGA) or CPAC, (which stands for Crazy People At a Convention) who are going to see what you say and will be interested in it. It's also the outside the world. It's the people who are not currently confined to a mental institution, or shouldn't be. It's the media professionals whose jobs are to report the news and what our supposed public servants (which Marjorie T. Greene is technically one of) are up to and what they have to say about the news. </div><div><br /></div><div>Just because MAGA thinks it's cool to believe that the Jews are trying to destroy America and force America to live under climate change lockdowns, along with controlling most of the money in America, doesn't mean anyone with a brain, who also happens to be sane and sober, (which hopefully that's not a select group of Americans) will believe what MAGA believes is cool, will be cool with the outside world as well. </div><div><br /></div><div>When MAGA is just talking amongst themselves, in private rooms, where no outside media is allowed, (like their group therapy sessions) they can be as crazy and stupid, as their God/cult leader Donald J. Trump will allow them to be. Kennedy Jr. is fueling speculation that he could join the Libertarian Party’s presidential ticket as he seeks to qualify in more states heading into November. </div><div><br /></div><div>Kennedy raised eyebrows late last month when he spoke at the party’s annual convention in California, a development that was welcomed as a signal of intent from some Libertarians and came as he gains ballot access in swing states as an independent candidate.</div><div><br /></div><div><div>While Kennedy himself has only casually entertained a possible switch, there is growing support among party members, strategists and activists for him to join their ranks, multiple sources told The Hill.</div><div><br /></div><div>“There’s a buzz going on, and there’s a lot of interest in him,” said Ron Nielson, who served as former Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson’s campaign manager in 2012 and 2016.</div><div><br /></div><div>“If he were to say that he were to accept the nomination of the Libertarian Party, that would probably change a lot of heads,” Nielson said. “There are people within the Liberty movement that would like to help him.”</div><div><br /></div><div>One source in Kennedy’s orbit echoed that sentiment.</div><div><br /></div><div>“There is a willingness of people in the Liberty movement to consider Bobby, for sure,” the source said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to freely discuss internal campaign dynamics. </div><div><br /></div><div>“He’s a rogue punk rocker of the political system,” the source added. </div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>Kennedy wants to appear uniformly on ballots across the map as part of a third-party crusade against President Biden and former President Trump. He regularly laments the established parties’ front-runners, deeming them unfit to address the current national turmoil and bigger systemic problems in government. So far, he’s become an official contender in New Hampshire and Utah, and last week he added Hawaii to his camp’s tally.</div><div><br /></div><div>But observers from many corners of the political system are increasingly skeptical that he’ll be able to gather enough signatures in time.</div><div><br /></div><div>Libertarians, meanwhile, have taken notice of Kennedy’s more recent movements, quietly expressing a willingness to nominate him at their late May convention in Washington, D.C.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>“I am seeing on the ground and hearing from other politicos in the independent space that there is a unique coalition that they’re attempting to build,” said Christopher Thrasher, an independent ballot access consultant with a long former association with the Libertarian Party. </div><div><br /></div><div>“It really does transcend party lines,” Thrasher said. “No matter what, part of their calculation is — whether it’s pre-general election or actually in the general election — activating as many individuals across an ideological spectrum as possible. The Libertarian Party and Libertarian events and conventions plays into that strategy.”</div><div><br /></div><div>The piqued interest in Kennedy is based in a belief that this could be the most consequential election for a third party since Ross Perot in 1992. Kennedy would automatically qualify for dozens of states as a Libertarian if he were to formally change his party for the second time in the 2024 cycle. He could instantly appear in two places with the biggest electoral vote hauls, Texas and California.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>“I think there’s no question that there’s a real chance for an independent or third-party candidate to actually win electoral votes in this election,” Thrasher said. </div><div><br /></div><div>Kennedy hasn’t exactly been shy about this thought process. Despite his politically connected Democratic family, his stances around freedom of speech and censorship put him outside of what many consider to be mainstream in American politics. In that sense, a Libertarian bid could be a natural fit for the 70-year-old, who’s campaigning as an insurgent despite his bloodline.</div><div><br /></div><div>In a recent appearance on CNN, Kennedy said he’s “looking at” another possible party flip, this time toward Libertarian. The California convention was his biggest sign to date that he’s considering a run for their ticket. </div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>He could theoretically wait until the spring to change his affiliation, just before the convention or even as late as during the event itself, but many caution that it’s better to do it sooner than later.</div><div><br /></div><div>“He’s got a small window to make a choice here. I don’t think he would be wasting his time showing up to the Libertarians’ convention in California if he wasn’t giving serious consideration to running for their nomination,” said the source familiar with Kennedy’s thinking.</div><div><br /></div><div>Adrian Malagon, an at-large representative for the Libertarian National Committee, told The Hill that Kennedy was “very well received” at the conference. “We’re incredibly grateful that he accepted our invitation,” he said.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>The Kennedy campaign did not provide comment. </div><div><br /></div><div>Kennedy’s growing behind-the-scenes support within Libertarian circles comes as he continues to present an alternative to Biden and Trump. Some within the party concede that his policies are not totally aligned with their agenda, noting his posture around guns and his foreign policy stance on Israel, which some criticize as too close to Biden’s. </div><div><br /></div><div>But many are willing to consider Kennedy as the “lesser of two evils,” with the caveat that he would give their party a bigger platform. Many also see an upside in platforming a celebrity-style candidate. That’s particularly important after the movement has suffered recent fissures over ideological turf wars that have blunted their national momentum.</div></div><div><br /></div><div><div>Some of the most fervent Libertarians, including the Mises Caucus, are not likely to accept Kennedy and have already started pushing back against his bid. Moderate Libertarians see that faction as inching closer to Trump’s right-wing politics and away from the party’s traditional values. They believe Kennedy, a former Democrat as of just a few months ago, is not a strong representation of their brand and are actively lobbying against his potential party change.</div><div><br /></div><div>“We firmly oppose any strategy that would ‘rent out’ our party’s place on any state’s ballot to RFK, or indeed any candidate who has so many disqualifying deviations from the essential principles of libertarianism,” Aaron Harris, who chairs the Mises PAC, wrote in a blog post last month addressing the question: “Should the Libertarian Party nominate RFK Jr.?”</div><div><br /></div><div>“We in the LP bill ourselves as ‘The Party of Principle’ for a reason: We are in this because we passionately favor individual liberty and believe that the State is the greatest threat to peace and freedom,” Harris wrote. </div><div><br /></div><div>Despite the strong pushback from that wing of the party, others are inspired by the groundswell of interest and are urging Kennedy to make further gestures that could indicate which way he’s leaning.</div><div><br /></div><div>“I would open the door,” said Nielson. “If he’s seriously even contemplating a Libertarian run, I think he needs to address it directly and state, ‘I would be willing to accept the nomination.’”</div><div><br /></div><div>“You kind of let the chips fall and see what develops,” Nielson added. “Certainly, that would open a lot of discussion.”</div></div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4509804-rfk-jr-robert-f-kennedy-jr-libertarian/">The Hill</a></div><div><br /></div><div>As an at best Independent Democrat at this point, whose not in love with the Democratic Party politically, or really anything else, for that matter, I would love to see Robert F. Kennedy JR. run for President as a Libertarian. Why? Because it would just confirm what I, what this blog, and what a lot of other Democrats believe about RFK JR. that he's simply a MAGA man, who at the very least doesn't want Joe Biden to be reelected and perhaps even wants Donald Trump back in The White House, where all their MAGA conspiracy theories and avenues to financially profit for them, would open up. </div><div><br /></div><div>The Libertarian Party, even though they still have some real Ron Paul get government out of our personal and economic affairs, classical Libertarians in it, like Reason Magazine and other classical libertarian publications, along with the MAGA movement in what's left of the Republican Party, the Libertarian Party today is the home right-wing conspiracy theorists and conspiracy theories. </div><div><br /></div><div>The LP is the home of people who think that Joe Biden didn't actually win the 2020 presidential election. </div><div><br /></div><div>The LP is the home of the deep state conspiracy theorists who think that COVID was created to get Joe Biden into The White House and defeat Donald Trump. </div><div><br /></div><div>The LP is the home for people who believe the U.S. Department of Justice, is simply prosecuting Donald Trump, simply to prevent him from returning to The White House. </div><div><br /></div><div>The LP is the home as well for the antisemites, the Holocaust deniers, at least on the Far-Right in America. </div><div><br /></div><div>No better home or place for someone like a Robert F. Kennedy, whose publicly claimed that the CIA murdered his uncle President John F. Kennedy back in 1963, then the Libertarian Party. </div><div><br /></div><div>This whole speculation of RFK JR. running for President in the Libertarian Party, is why I believe he's a bigger threat to Donald Trump than President Biden. Unless he's completely high or drunk and that obviously could change everything. </div><div><br /></div><div>So Mr. Weisselberg is telling the New York State Attorney General, this is what he knows about how the Trump Organization led by Donald Trump does business, to save his own life, or at least well-being. And that can't be good for Mr. Trump, because his former CFO probably knows everything about Trump Org.'s business and finances." </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2023/10/harry-litman-former-trump-cfo-drops.html">The New Democrat</a></div><div><br /></div><div>Again, I'm not a lawyer. And if that sounds redundant, it means you are reading and following this blog. But even after Michael Popok explains this and I'm sure just from what I've been seeing on social media, MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner seems to agree with Poppok here, I still don't see how the fact that Allen Weisselberg, whose now an official serial liar and perjurer, helps the Manhattan District Attorney here. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now it's one thing, similar to Michael Cohen, if Mr. Weisselberg is just there to confirm documents and the testimony from actual, credible, witnesses, about the Trump Organization. Which is similar to how Donald Trump's own children were used to testify against their father back in October or November. But, if he's there to not only deliver, or confirm, information about Donald Trump and the Trump Organization that only he could know as it's former chief financial officer, you could see (unless you are blind) why if anything DJT's attorney's would want Weisselberg taking the stand. </div><div><br /></div><div>Just to give a possible cross-examination, perhaps even Saturday Night Live inspired cross-examination of Allen Weisselberg, by the Trump's attorney's, assuming the judge allows these questions to be asked:</div><div><br /></div><div>"Mr. Weisselberg isn't it true that you are not even a liar, not even a serial liar, but a convicted serial liar?" </div><div><br /></div><div>What's Weisselberg, going to say here: "I was convicted or perjury."? That will make him look really good in front of the jurors. Unless they're all blind and death. But the defense only needs 1 juror to vote their way. </div><div><br /></div><div>I guess Mr. Weisselberg could say: "Look, at least I don't lie as much as your client. I'm an honest, decent, law biding, taxpaying, American patriot, compared with your client." Again, I don't know how this helps the prosecution here. And I know he's already in jail and any decent, competent, human being, especially when they're in their mid or late 70s, doesn't want to die in jail. Especially at some hellhole like Rikers Island. </div><div><br /></div><div>But Allen Weisselberg has already lied twice under oath, knowing what the consequences were going to be and how old and unhealthy he is. But it's so exciting, where you really don't have an opportunity to take a break, other than waiting for a commercial or hitting pause. But the thing that I really love about this film is that it doesn't have a lot of do's and don't's. It just has a lot of don't's. Which I'm going to explain to you. </div><div><br /></div><div>The IMDB description is pretty good. But there's a lot more to it. Ruth Stanton (played by the beautiful and too cute Jeanne Crain) just lost her father, who she still misses terribly. And she falls in love with John Bowman (played by Carl Betz) pretty much right after she loses her father. Ruth's father had a business that he left to her daughter, as well as good deal of money. </div><div><br /></div><div>So now Ruth Stanton is pretty vulnerable because Bowman knows all about this, but his brand new wife doesn't know him. Which comes back to be a big problem for her after he ditches her just after they arrive on the boat together. Because she can not only not find him, but has no idea what happened to him, and she has a helluva a story to try to explain to the ships's crew, who simply thinks that he got off the boat because there's no sign of him and perhaps he just ditched her.</div><div><br /></div><div>So now Ruth is in a situation where the only person on the boat whose willing to try to believe her and help her figure out what happened is the ship's doctor. And the IMDB description gives you a solid look at what this film is about. Basically, wealthy, at least in early 1970s times, as well as today, millionaire doctors, even in today's money, who are apparently more happy at work, than at home with their bored, unhappy wives. </div><div><br /></div><div>The highlights of this film:</div><div><br /></div><div>The Richard Crenna character has a mistress, who just happens to be his head nurse.</div><div><br /></div><div>And if that's not enough, this film takes a sharp turn, when one of the doctors in the film (played by John Colicos) murders his tramp wife (played by Dyan Cannon) after he catches her having sex at their home, with one of the pre-med students at the hospital. </div><div><br /></div><div>And if that's not enough, he not only has blackmail material on all the other doctors, that he threatens to use against him, if they don't bail him out (so to speak) which he resorts to, after his his failed crime in the heat of passion defense fails. </div><div><br /></div><div>But, there's a young boy at the hospital, who just happens to be the son of Doctor Peter Brennan's (played by Richard Crenna) mistress, who has to have a lifesaving surgery, that can only be performed by Doctor Mort Dellman. (Played by John Colicos) But, Doctor Dellman only agrees to perform this surgery, if the doctors help him escape after the surgery, instead of going back to jail. </div><div><br /></div><div>And if that's not enough, there's a rumor about whether Doctor Brennan, is the father of his mistress's son, the boy who needs this surgery to keep living. </div><div><br /></div><div>So, if you are someone like me and you love great soap operas and you also love classic films, I think this is a great film. Think of a great episode, or a great series of episodes of General Hospital. But instead of that show really being about Port Charles, (which it really is) this movie is about the hospital and the people who work there. It's a great story, with a great cast, and it's also pretty funny as well.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is from a follow up piece from an earlier 2013 piece about this film, from <a href="http://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-social-design-video-doctor-wives.html">The New Democrat</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/04/george-schaefer-doctors-wives-1971/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-77926710365900913322024-03-04T11:58:00.000-08:002024-03-04T12:10:41.022-08:00CSPAN: 1948 Thomas Dewey Republican Convention Acceptance Speech<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9czwLKDOqnG9aVPqyPrnRtEjIEknR0MwdoE2dTrMBNuHZNLdYFTXmZZwh8qhPvyDqJMXGMFg66Qa0gv5PQDS992hJuraexyzcxywOgVZ9Xk6z2RRX-3VlIPN0dJtl9JzUTqFEDgFrUGmNuAzx3vMDNbCb_6jiArw1sQnAU0RQbl0zySeRtKDh_sIYLoQ/s480/1948%20Thomas%20Dewey%20Republican%20Convention%20Acceptance%20Speech.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="480" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9czwLKDOqnG9aVPqyPrnRtEjIEknR0MwdoE2dTrMBNuHZNLdYFTXmZZwh8qhPvyDqJMXGMFg66Qa0gv5PQDS992hJuraexyzcxywOgVZ9Xk6z2RRX-3VlIPN0dJtl9JzUTqFEDgFrUGmNuAzx3vMDNbCb_6jiArw1sQnAU0RQbl0zySeRtKDh_sIYLoQ/s320/1948%20Thomas%20Dewey%20Republican%20Convention%20Acceptance%20Speech.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=676f50895ef768f0&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn09udAdz8sJhIgnF5mE-h46wuBO5Ow:1709580610538&q=1948+Thomas+Dewey+Republican+Convention+Acceptance+Speech+(2016)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwivwIWIrNuEAxW3LFkFHdV-B0EQ0pQJegQIERAB&biw=1432&bih=710&dpr=1#imgrc=3JdzGW_9IFPhIM">CSPAN</a>- Governor Thomas E. And we need to become a Christian Nationalist State, instead of the federal liberal democratic republic that we are today. </div><div><br /></div><div>I don't mention any of these things to sound partisan, or sound like I hate Republicans, or I hate the Republican Party. For anyone whose not familiar with Star Trek conventions, I don't feel sorry for you for that. but to give you an idea about them: </div><div><br /></div><div>Star Trek not when it originally aired in the late 1960s and early 70s on NBC, was not a popular TV series. I think it had 4 seasons and probably only did well enough to last that long. But go up to the late 1970s, by then it was very popular in syndication to the point that the Star Trek creators started a movie series about the TV series, with I believe 4 or 5 Star Trek films. By the late 80s, </div><div><br /></div><div>Star Trek became so popular and the merchandise became so popular that a lot of fan groups and organizations were put together for the Star Trek the TV series and movie series. It gets to the point that these folks look like they were part of a national cult or something and became very easy to make fun of in pop culture.</div><div><br /></div><div>To make a long point shorter, I'm not a Columbo version of a Trekkie. I think it's one of the best, as well as funnest TV detective series ever. Peter Falk for me at least, is one of the best TV comedians ever. But, there's only about 10 episodes from the entire series, including the original on NBC and the movie version from ABC in the 1990s, that I really love and can see over and over again, to the point that I now have 10-15 Columbo episodes on DVD and watch them whenever I have the time and want to watch them. </div><div><br /></div><div>If I had to put a list of top 5 episodes all time in the entire Columbo series from both NBC and ABC, I think Ransom For a Deadman is not just top 5, but top 1. It's between this episode and Murder By Book with Jack Cassidy, also from 1971, and Exercise in Fatality with Robert Conrad from 1974. </div><div><br /></div><div>Lee Grant explains herself very well about what made her character so great and interesting to play and she plays Leslie Williams so perfectly. She plays a woman who almost seems like she doesn't care if she gets caught or not. Too much confidence and as Lieutenant Columbo (played by Peter Falk) says so himself, she has no conscience. It's almost as if she hated her husband and her stepdaughter that he gave her, to the point that she made it easier for Columbo to catch her. </div><div><br /></div><div>But despite playing such a cold and evil woman, Lee Grant is not just Lee Grant, but she'll always be Lee Grant. The only two people that Leslie could never get past, were Columbo and her stepdaughter Margaret. (Played by Pattye Mattlick) But, she had the rest of the Los Angeles Police Department and all her associates and colleagues fooled, because again she's Lee Grant. </div><div><br /></div><div>I think the best, or at least most interesting TV killers, are the killers who lack conscience, but who are also highly intelligent, but just from the outside you think: "Come, on, she can't kill anybody." And that's what you get from Leslie. To the outside observer, she's just too cute and sweet physically, to even swat at a fly that flies in her face, let alone not just murder someone, or her own husband, that she supposedly is in love with. </div><div><br /></div><div>But this all gets back to Lee Grant being Lee Grant. She's so good of an actress, that she can fool anybody. And because she looks so cute and sweet from the outside, she can fool anyone into thinking that no way she could murder someone. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/01/the-tv-time-machine-lee-grant-talks-columbo-peter-falk-ransom-for-a-dead-man-exclusive-interview/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-48744456621652916852024-03-01T12:04:00.000-08:002024-03-01T12:57:28.481-08:00The Bulwark: 'George Conway Explains: SCOTUS Order Could Be BAD NEWS For Donald Trump It All'<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHpi2WR90luIwYfrfeF0aoI2AKqlvTJC5v2c36FtVl65T-uwC7SbNqPNx48va31YybcBpnhTl0faWFfa-TiQJjMmBcAylSaAYewDlL_USZTodBHtvlhOhKZqgPWUxg-gzelecYWooDl5mm8JY3twxsCF1gRvm2qgXfJpyXFoLZdWvqKqv-zL4TH6rm8_8/s736/_%20-%202024-03-01T143923.398.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="414" data-original-width="736" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHpi2WR90luIwYfrfeF0aoI2AKqlvTJC5v2c36FtVl65T-uwC7SbNqPNx48va31YybcBpnhTl0faWFfa-TiQJjMmBcAylSaAYewDlL_USZTodBHtvlhOhKZqgPWUxg-gzelecYWooDl5mm8JY3twxsCF1gRvm2qgXfJpyXFoLZdWvqKqv-zL4TH6rm8_8/s320/_%20-%202024-03-01T143923.398.jpeg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Source:<a href="https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=e600f8fb9a9a9143&authuser=0&sxsrf=ACQVn09irpdV7FZGeIbjfxkYawzzEqDQvw:1709322012837&q=George+Conway+Explains:+SCOTUS+order+could+be+BAD+NEWS+for+Trump+%7C+George+Conway+Explains+It+All+(2024)&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjLy4bb6NOEAxXXEGIAHUm2DbAQ0pQJegQIDBAB&biw=1432&bih=718&dpr=1#imgrc=XX2a9ODtPmEYBM">The Bulwark</a> with Sarah Longwell & George Conway.</td></tr></tbody></table><br />"George Conway explains to Sarah Longwell why he thinks everyone is wrong, and the Supreme Court's decision to take up Trump's immunity appeal could be bad news for Trump's reelection bid. And of course SCOTUS denied that as well. And then he predicted in February, that the Supreme Court wouldn't even take this case because the Court of Appeals opinion was strong and correct. And of course on Wednesday, that the Supreme Court decided to take the case. I still think he's an excellent legal analyst, but he's had two major mistakes here. </div><div><br /></div><div>Again, I'm not a lawyer and I predicted that this would be 8-1 or 8-0 against Donald Trump, with perhaps just Justice Clarence Thomas ruling in favor of Trump. As I wrote on The New Democrat on Tuesday: </div><div><br /></div><div>"I have my own theory here. Justice Thomas seems even more partisan than Justice Alito. We saw that during Donald Trump's appeals to deny Joe Biden the election back in late 2020. He simply turned away a big case that then President Trump had and simply didn't take that case and let the lower court ruling stand. Also, Justice Thomas's wife Ginni, is all in when it comes to MAGA. She was part of the "stop the steal movement" in late 2020 and perhaps one of the organizers 2021 insurrection attempt. </div><div><br /></div><div>My theory is that the Court has already ruled against Donald Trump. But they're waiting on whether Justice Thomas will either vote no and go down 8-1 in one of the biggest cases in the history of the Court and be remembered as the one U.S. Justice who believes Donald Trump is above the law. And risk looking pretty bad, perhaps even corrupt and looking like a partisan politician, instead of a judge. Or, will he just recuse himself and not vote at all and save himself from a little historical embarrassment. But that's my theory as an outsider in this case, whose not even a lawyer." </div><div><br /></div><div>From <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/2024/02/harry-litman-donald-trump-desperate-to.html">The New Democrat</a></div><div><br /></div><div>So, I've been wrong about this as well. I think it's all about when the Supreme Court decides this case. I think it's an easy case because there's no one whose above the law in America, including the President of the United States and that includes former President's. So theoretically, SCOTUS could listen to the arguments in late April and then maybe rule on that 4 weeks later, because it's hard to imagine how there's 5 votes on SCOTUS who thinks that anyone in America is above the law.</div><div><br /></div><div>If the Court ruled in favor of Donald J. Trump on presidential immunity, it would literally be saying that the Constitution doesn't really exist and neither does the rule of law. At least for politicians that they're more willing to vote for. And that would put the Court's future in jeopardy. </div><div><br /></div><div>If Joe Biden wins reelection anyway and Democrats win back the House and not just hold but add in the Senate, the next Congress and a reelected President Joe Biden could come back and say: "Now it's time to expand the Supreme Court, because they now have a major credibility and trust issue." And they would have a good case to make there. So I think it's clear Donald Trump will lose on this. The question is how bad will the loss be for him. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/03/01/the-bulwark-george-conway-explains-scotus-order-could-be-bad-news-for-donald-trump-it-all/">WordPress</a>.</div>Fred Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01435902200329566640noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558435465749028517.post-21363715905911919602024-02-29T14:14:00.000-08:002024-02-29T15:14:34.182-08:00Karen F. But before I get into that, I just want to say something on behalf of The New Democrat. </div><div><br /></div><div>Myself and my colleague <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.blogspot.com/search/label/Fred%20Schneider">Fred Schneider</a> both predicted on The New Democrat this year, that the Supreme Court wouldn't just deny Donald Trump's bogus (to be kind) presidential immunity claim but that the Supreme Court wouldn't even take that case. We would've talked about this yesterday, or one of us would have, but the story didn't break to after 5PM. And we wanted to get more information on this story before we tried to put something on this blog.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now again, I'm not a lawyer and if you are getting tired of hearing us say this, then we're getting through. I don't see how the Washington trial gets started and finished before election day. But, I still think that by August, or perhaps September, we could at least see the discovery portion of this trial of this case take place and we can see a lot of what Special Counsel Jack Smith and company have on Donald Trump in this case. Which is something that voters would be able to consider in deciding who to vote for during the election. And perhaps even the trial started. But the 2nd part is a bigger long shot.</div><div><br /></div><div>So this is where I completely agree with Karen Agnifilo: Manhattan is now front and center. District Attorney Alvin Bragg has 34 felony counts against Donald J. Trump. Yes, this is the smallest and least important case against Donald Trump. But imagine a career mobster who has 4 separate felony cases against him, with a tone of solid evidence against him. And the crime that's the least important against him, is an arson charge, where he's charged with blowing up the offices of one his competitors, or something. But he's also being charged with murder 1 or murder 2, rape, and being the lead conspirator of a bank robbery. That's the world that Donald J. Trump now lives in. </div><div><br /></div><div>If Donald Trump is just convicted of one the charges that Alvin Bragg has against him, he's a convicted felon. Unless he wins that case on appeal, which might not be until a year later from after he's convicted. But, any felony convictions after the 1st one, makes Donald Trump a serial felon, who thinks that he's above the law, whose also running for President of the United States. I don't see how that helps him, plus with all the evidence against him, not just in Manhattan, but in Washington as well, during the election. </div><div><br /></div><div>You don't see a lot of Independents rallying for career criminals to be President of the United States. Show me the people who are saying: "You know what, we need more criminals in our government, just to shake things up." Because most Americans tend to not just believe in the rule of law, but the rule of law for everybody. And that includes not just the current President of the United States, but former President's as well. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can also see this post on <a href="https://thenewdemocrat1975.com/2024/02/29/karen-f-agnifilo-donald-trump-ny-criminal-case-becomes-more-urgent-after-latest-news/">WordPress</a>.</div>Kire Schneiderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18313659865829764525noreply@blogger.com1
