Jesse Dollemore: 60 Minutes TRIED TO HIDE THIS Donald Trump Interview Segment!!!

"Jesse discusses Donald Trump's 60 Minutes interview, which aired last night and was heavily edited, a fact that serves as the "justification" for his lawsuit and ultimate settlement with CBS. In the interview, Trump says he doesn't know the crypto criminal he pardoned, who ended up paying Donald Trump $2 billion!"

Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about The Don of Manhattan who has now taken over Washington.

From Jesse Dollemore

I didn't watch the 60 Minutes interview. But from people I saw on social media who apparently did see the interview (or what they wanted to see) that's not what I saw here.

I mean you always want interviewers from mainstream, well-established, news organizations, (like CBS News) to ask hard followups to their hard questions... especially when the interviewee gives a ridiculous answer to the question, or doesn't even bother to try to answer the question. That's been the main issue The New Democrat has had with Meet The Press anchor Kristen Welker. Her original questions aren't that difficult to answer. But she makes that worst when the interviewee won't even answer that and she'll just let that person go on as if they were a U.S. Senator, doing their own filibuster. And then she'll finally come in and say something like:

"There's so much I would love to talk to you about today. But we're all out of time for this week".

But at least Norah O'Donnell did ask some real questions and score some real points here:

"This is a question about pardons. The Trump family is now perhaps more associated with cryptocurrency than real estate. You and your son-- your sons, Don Jr. and Eric, have formed World Liberty Financial with the Witkoff family.

Helping to make your family millions of dollars. It's in that context that I do wanna ask you about crypto's richest man, a billionaire known as C.Z. He pled guilty in 2023 to violating anti-money laundering laws.

Looked at this, the government at the time said that C.Z. had caused "significant harm to U.S. national security", essentially by allowing terrorist groups like Hamas to move millions of dollars around. Why did you pardon him?

And President Trump responded to the question about the pardons with this:

"Okay, are you ready? I don't know who he is. I know he got a four-month sentence or something like that. And I heard it was a Biden witch hunt. And what I wanna do is see crypto, 'cause if we don't do it it's gonna go to China, it's gonna go to-- this is no different to me than AI.

My sons are involved in crypto much more than I-- me. I-- I know very little about it, other than one thing. It's a huge industry. And if we're not gonna be the head of it, China, Japan, or someplace else is. So I am behind it 100%. This man was, in my opinion, from what I was told, this is, you know, a four-month sentence.

But this man was treated really badly by the Biden administration. And he was given a jail term. He's highly respected. He's a very successful guy. They sent him to jail and they really set him up. That's my opinion. I was told about it.

I said, "Eh, it may look bad if I do it. I have to do the right thing." I don't know the man at all. I don't think I ever met him. Maybe I did. Or, you know, somebody shook my hand or something. But I don't think I ever met him. I have no idea who he is. I was told that he was a victim, just like I was and just like many other people, of a vicious, horrible group of people in the Biden administration".

And Norah O'Donnell comes back (some people might call it a followup) with:

"The government had accused him of "significant harm to U.S. national security"--

Okay. Allowing U.S. terrorist groups to, you know, essentially move millions of dollars around. He pled guilty to anti-money laundering laws. That was in 2023. Then in 2025 his crypto exchange, Binance, helped facilitate a $2 billion purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And then you pardoned C.Z. How do you address the appearance of pay for play?"

And this part from President Trump that I think should scare the hell out of any loyal American who believes in the rule of law:

"Well, here's the thing, I know nothing about it because I'm too busy doing the other--

From CBS News

And after the pardon exchange, The Rambling Don makes a reappearance and you get to hear how great DJT thinks his family is doing. But you'll have to find that mini DJT filibuster on your own.

So even though Changpeng Zhao pled guilty to money laundering and was laundering money to terrorist groups like Hamas (and perhaps others) President Trump pardons a man that he claims he's never even heard of, doesn't even know. Not to mention the fact that he is in business with the Trump Family's business crypto financial company.

So either the President of the United States is auto-penning his presidential pardons, or signing them without even bothering to read them first.

Or, another solid possibility and I think it's a great contender... (I would pick it to the win championship here) President Trump is simply doing what he always does when he's caught doing something bad to his face, that he shouldn't have done and just lies about not knowing about exactly what he just did and the crook that he just gave a great deal to, simply because he has a financial or political interest in that person.

The New Democrat has been saying for about a year now: elections have consequences. When you stay home, or vote for a candidate who doesn't even get 1% of the vote, or you vote for someone like Donald J. Trump, a lot of bad shit happens. (To be frank about it) Like pardoning criminals, who do business with terrorist groups... who even pled guilty to what they would've been convicted of. And they only get the pardon because they have a business interest with the current President of the United States.

Senate Judiciary Committee: Pam Bondi VS Dick Durbin & Adam Schiff

"Jesse talks about Pam Bondi’s abysmal day of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she merely repeated the canned lines as responses that were clearly written for her by Stephen Miller or Donald Trump himself."

Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about Attorney General Pam Bondi's latest Trump reality TV performance.

From Jesse Dollemore

I don't have much to say in response to what Jesse Dollemore is saying here. At best, you are just getting the MSNBC prime time, partisan analysis, advertised as news, from Dollemore. But you are free to listen to every word that comes out of his mouth... if you have nothing better to do. If that's the case, I feel sorry for you. But I will give you my "just the facts, Jack' routine here and then tell you what I think about that.

If Attorney General Pam Bondi just in her opening statement said: "I'm not here to answer any serious questions from Democrats", from the beginning, she could've saved taxpayers a lot of time and money and this committee hearing would've been a lot shorter and she would've been back at DOJ, or could've gone home from the Dirksen Senate Office Building, a lot sooner.

But when you work for Donald John Trump, you are not a "public servant", at least not anymore. There are exceptions, but the Pam Bondi's, the Pete Hegseth's, the Steve Miller's, are the general rule in Donald J. Trump's latest political reality TV show: "Trump Takes Over Washington, America is next".

When you work for President Trump, you are a performer, a political reality TV performer. If he doesn't think you are 100% loyal to him and he doesn't think you look good and sound good on TV... you could be a 4 star war with more medals, that the New York Yankees trophy case wouldn't be large enough to hold... but you could forget about ever being his Secretary of Defense. If you care more about America, than you care about him. And that's just 1 example.

I mean we see this everyday with the President's "press secretary". Karoline Leavitt is no more a press secretary, than fish are elephants. She's only there to give MAGA's latest partisan and tell people how great she thinks her boss is.

So when you see the exchange between the Attorney General and Senator Adam Schiff, yesterday... Senator Schiff already knows that and he wasn't there to let her use his time to talk about much she thinks Democrats hate America, or how much she thinks the the Senator sucks, or "is he even a real lawyer", etc. The Senator used his time to layout the questions that he would liked to be answered, if only there was someone at the witness table there who was even qualified to answer his questions. And I think Senator Schiff did a very effective job at that.

And while Senator Schiff is dominating his time, the Attorney General is trying to speak over him, while the camera is still on him, not her, talking about everything that has nothing to do with what he wanted to talk about, which was the use and authorization of the National Guard, Tom Homan being caught taking a bribe, the Jim Comey trial, etc. But had the Senator had given her anytime whatsoever, all she would've done was talk about how bad a lawyer she thinks he is, crime in Los Angeles, and California wildfires, etc.

My colleague Ederik Schneider talked about the Attorney General's appearance at the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday:

"Anytime anyone is testifying in front of Congress... (House or Senate) especially if they have a legal background, (like being a lawyer, prosecutor, attorney general, etc) they have to know that everything that you say to members of Congress and to their committees, can be used against you. Attorney General Pam Bondi, back in February, said there was an Epstein client list on her desk to review...

Jesse Dollemore: Donald Trump AUTHORIZES ARREST OF GAVIN NEWSOM by Tom Homan & ICE!!!

"Jesse talks about the gleeful manner with which Donald Trump told Fox News's Peter Doocy about his approval of arresting the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. He told the Fox Nepo-Baby, "I would do it, if I were Tom – I think it's great!!! Gavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing!"

Source:Jesse Dollemore with a look at Dictator Don Governor Gavin Newsom & himself.

From Jesse Dollemore

As The New Democrat said yesterday: Donald Trump is doing Gavin Newsom huge favor by making the California Democrat look like he's the 1 standing for the rule of law and Constitution. Why DJT plays Dictator Don.

As we posted yesterday on The New Democrat:

President Donald John Trump:

"Look, I like Gavin, he's a nice guy. But he's doing a terrible job... and then the President went on to talk about some building project in California that he's claims is very late and well over budget."

Ederik Schneider:  And then he claimed everything that he builds is always done under budget and finished early.

What The New Democrat posted on Threads yesterday I think is the point here. (Not to promote my own blog or anything) And that's the point I'm going to concentrate on today as well.

When you think of California, politically and culturally, at least as an outsider to that state and political culture, you think of left-wing hippies, who talk about peace and love and no wars... a place where it's not just cool to be a Socialist, but a Communist as well. A place that wants to create some new country where there's no war, no poverty, no bigotry, (at least towards minorities) no need for law enforcement, where eating meat is considered cruelty, where no one owns anything, because everything is shared equally. California is sort of thought of as Reverend Jim Jones's America.

Now, California is obviously a lot more culturally and politically diverse than the giant hippie state that I just showed you. I mean, just drive from let's say Anaheim, up to Fresno, you might think you are in the Bible Belt where everyone not only looks like Anglo-Saxon Mississippi, or some place, but talks and lives like those folks as well. But California is the state where hippie culture, socialism, and communism, are considered mainstream philosophies. And perhaps the only state where those philosophies are considered mainstream.

So, before Governor Gavin Newsom did his MAGA speaking tour this spring, that's the Democrat that he was viewed as. And that's probably the only reason for the MAGA speaking tour because he wants to run for President in 2027-28 and he won't even win the Democratic nomination in 2028, if he's perceived as some left-wing, California, Hippiecrat, who thinks he knows what's best for the rest of the country.

Again, I don't want to sound like I'm promoting my own blog here, (even though that's exactly what I'm doing) but when The New Democrat said:

"Donald Trump is doing Gavin Newsom huge favor by making the California Democrat look like he's the 1 standing for the rule of law and Constitution. Why DJT plays Dictator Don."

This is exactly what we're talking about. Let's say (God forbid) that Governor Newsom is the Democratic nominee for President in 2028... that's how Republicans are going to want to paint the Governor politically: some out-of-touch, California, hippie-leftist, who thinks the police are the real criminals, who wants the national government to run everyone's lives for them. But then you got President Trump coming in and threatening to arrest the Governor, because Newsom disagrees with how the President is responding to the Los Angeles protests.

Democrats in 2026, 27, and 28, even 25, want to run against Donald Trump because they see him as a wannabe dictator and real threat to our Constitution, republic, our form of government, the rule of law, etc. And the President just made that job a helluva lot easier by making Governor Newsom look like the guy who is standing for our Constitution, checks and balances, and rule of law. That's the real point of this story. Not what Jesse Dollemore or some other left-wing commentator thinks about Gavin Newsom on social media.

Jesse Dollemore: Kristi Noem Got TRICKED INTO ROASTING DONALD TRUMP For Being Embarrassing Moron!

"Jesse talks about the humiliating (and frustrating) exchange between California Congressman Eric Swalwell & cult-member Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. The question was related to whether or not the clearly doctored photo of Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s knuckle tattoos that Donald Trump stupidly thought was an unaltered image."

Source:Jesse Dollemore with a look at Secretary of Reality TV... I mean Secretary of Homeland Security (natural mistake) rough day in front of the U.S. Congress.

From Jesse Dollemore

Representative Eric Swalwell has a knack for making MAGA (which stands for Mass Army of Gigantic Assholes) officials and his fellow committee members in the House, who are MAGA members, look pretty dumb, pretty bad, and pretty invasive. Last summer he literally called MAGA a cult:

“Guys, I’m starting to think you guys are in a cult,” Swalwell said. “That is your right, but it’s not your responsibility. I promise you, that’s not what your constituents would want.”

“So if you believe in states’ rights except when a jury in that state convicts your nominee for president: You might be in a cult. If you claim you back the blue but want to defund the police when the police go to your nominee’s house to retrieve national security secrets: You might be in a cult. If you’re supporting a guy whose felony convictions prevent him from getting security clearance: You might be in a cult,” Swalwell continued.

And if the guy you’re supporting for president has felony convictions that prevent him from going to Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic …”

And this is what I said about Representative Swalwell's "Cult of Trump" comments last June:

"The New Democrat has been arguing this for at least a year now, if not all the way back to when Donald Trump became President of the United States. This MAGA movement, as they call themselves (that we call Mass Army of Gigantic Assholes) is America's version of these Islamist's movements in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sudan, etc. They're not a real political movements in the sense that they have deep, political principles, baed on evidence, facts, and law, or anything to do with the U.S. Constitution.

MAGA is simply about preserving Donald J. Trump's freedom and ability to keep this nationalistic, corporatist, political movement alive...

Now just because Eric Swalwell is a skilled questioner and good at doing Congressional oversight (which is actually 1 of the few responsibilities that the U.S. Congress has) doesn't make him qualified to even run for President of the United States. If being a U.S. Representative from a safe seat in the bluest State of California is not good enough for him, here are some other jobs that someone with his kills would be qualified for:

U.S. Attorney

Director of the FBI

Perhaps even Secretary of Homeland Security (who could possibly be worst and more expensive than Kristi Noem?) or perhaps even U.S. Attorney General

Maybe a U.S. Senator at some point.

But I think the best part here is and perhaps Representative Swalwell just wore Secretary Noem down, but she literally said under oath:

"This is the testimony you want to hear to today on a doctored photo...

But hey, the money is good, I guess she thinks the fame is good for a her future MAGA reality TV career... reality TV stars aren't known for their intelligence and getting respect anyway, so why not embarrass yourself in front of Congress. Hell, the House and Senate, on the same day: why not?

Jesse Dollemore: Silver Spoon Billionaire Says: It’s Time for YOU to Sacrifice!!!

"Jesse talks about Scott Bessent’s utterly tone deaf remarks in an interview yesterday when he said, “The other thing too is this reporter behind me was quite snarky the other day when President Trump talked about the girl having two dolls and he said, well, what president didn't take the question, but he said, what would you tell the girl? I said I would tell that young girl that you will have a better life than your parents, that you and your family, thanks to President Trump, can now be confident again that you will have a better life than your parents, which working class Americans had abandoned that idea. Your family will own a home. You will be able to the advance. You will have a good education. You will have economic freedom. That's what we are advancing now.”

Source:Jesse Dollemore with a look at MAGA Communism.

From Jesse Dollemore

This is the main problem with Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent:

"I'm willing to cut Donald Trump's government officials some slack, in this sense: most of them weren't even politicians, or appointed officials before they got their current government jobs. Most of them are oligarchs or very hyper-partisan political activists and commentators from MAGA Land, with very little if any government experience before becoming secretary of this, that, or the other thing.

And because of the business and political backgrounds that these Trump officials have, that makes them very out-of-touch with even everyday MAGA voters who are paying President Trump's higher prices today, because of his tariffs and the retaliatory tariffs that these countries like in Europe are placing director on Donald Trump's own voters: people who live in small towns and rural communities, who can't afford to pay higher prices on their basic necessities of life.

I mean this would explain how a man who is worth 500 billion-dollars would make the statement: “Access to cheap goods is not the essence of the American dream,”. Because higher prices on basic necessities doesn't affect him...

This is what Rik Schneider said about MAGA Communism on Monday:

"Before some whacked-out leftist try's to tell me that Communists don't believe in "paying more for less"... fine. I'm not actually saying that they believe that. More like that tends to happen when Communists are in power: empty store shelves and whatever is left, is too expensive for the average consumer in that country.

As Bernard of Clairvaux so accurately said: the road to Hell was paved with good intentions. Meaning that you shouldn't just look at the intent of any policy, especially government policy, but the consequences of that policy as well.

Communists might not want their people to spend more money for less, but in an actual Communist State, (take North Korea) that's exactly what tends to happen. Because the national government is the only source in town for the basic necessities and there's no one there pushing them to be as efficient and productive as possible. And 1 of those reasons, is the people there can't even complain to their government, (without risk of going to jail) when state-run-businesses aren't producing enough affordable goods.

So when MAGA's Dear Leader President Donald J. Trump, tells Meet The Press Anchor Kristen Welker:

"I don't think a beautiful baby girl that's 11 years old needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have three dolls or four dolls ... they don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

The President doesn't even sound like a Republican. He sounds more like a Communist, because he's telling everyone what he personally thinks, every American needs to live well... at least on this issue. And that's what Joe Walsh was congratulating (I'm sure sarcastically) MAGA and I'm sure everyone else who voted for Donald Trump last year: "Congratulations! You voted for a Communist for President!"

If Americans wanted to spend more money for less, tax hikes would not just be popular in this country, but all the Socialists in America would be emptied out of their closets... all the Socialist closets would be emptied, because leftists would no longer fear about being outed as Socialists."

To Jesse Dollemore's credit, he covered Secretary Bessent's lost in the real world, I guess after being deported from Paradise (I'm guessing not by Donald Trump) mentality and got in to what makes this man so out-of-touch, without actually calling him "out-of-touch".

The Donald J. Trump Administration is the Scribed and Pharisees Administration: "Do what we say, not what we do. Sacrifice is good for you, not for us."

So there's this new anti-MAGA term going around on social media, that The New Democrat has been promoting as well: it's called MAGA Communism. Which I'm sure sounds like a luxury economy car, or a cheep yacht, small mansion, short sky scraper, skinny elephant, etc. But that's what MAGA is talking about and promoting now. And from my own Google searches, this is what Communist actually believe in:

"Yes, Communists believe in sacrifice, though the definition and context of "sacrifice" can vary within communist ideology. Communists often believe that individuals must sacrifice their personal interests for the collective good and the advancement of the revolution. This is often seen in the context of social and economic equality, where individual wealth and possessions might be seen as a hindrance to the collective goal of a communist society.

Communists frequently call upon individuals to sacrifice personal comfort and even their lives for the cause of revolution and the establishment of a communist state. This idea is rooted in the belief that the existing capitalist system is unjust and requires a fundamental transformation.

Communists believe that the collective good, including the well-being of all members of society, should take precedence over individual desires and possessions. This can manifest as a willingness to work for the collective good, even if it means sacrificing personal time or resources.

Some communist ideologies, particularly those rooted in Marxism, advocate for the abolition of private property and the sharing of wealth. This can be interpreted as a call for individuals to sacrifice their own possessions for the common good.

Communists emphasize the importance of collective action and working together towards a common goal. This often requires individuals to set aside their individual interests and prioritize the needs of the group.

In essence, the concept of sacrifice is central to communist ideology, with the form and extent of sacrifice often depending on the specific political context and goals of the communist movement or state."

You can find all these comments about communism by searching "Do Communists believe in sacrifice" on Google.

And the thing that Jesse Dollemore said that I completely disagree with... and this gets to the discussion in the Democratic Party about exactly it should function as the opposition minority party in the Federal Government right now, about whether they should be act as an alternative party and lay out what they would do instead of MAGA right now, or should they just try to hold MAGA accountable right now and block them where they can, but not become the issue themselves and remind voters why they were thrown out-of-power in the first place in 2024 and Mr. Dollemore's comment about taxes:

"We need a tax system that makes being a multi-billionaire something that's unattainable because we need to support the rest of us. It doesn't mean we make it illegal to be a billionaire. That just every dollar after after your first 50 million per year the that the those dollars are taxed at 70% like it was during Republican administration. Eisenhower liked it."

See, if American voters wanted our top tax rates to be anywhere between 70-90% right now... at the very least, Socialist Bernie Sanders would've won the Democratic nomination for President... at least in 2016 and perhaps 2020 as well. Americans don't like communism, but they don't like democratic socialism either. They don't want Americans to have to pay a lot of taxes, simply because they make a lot of money. They just want to be able to live well, be able to afford what they need and make sure there's plenty to go around. As well as being able to move up in life and enjoy life as well. Not pay a lot in taxes, simply because they can afford too.

Jesse Dollemore: Scott Jennings GOT OWNED SO HARD – No Choice but to SHUT HIS MOUTH!!!

"Jesse talks about a humiliating moment for Scott Jennings. He was asked a fundamental Constitutional question about who possesses the authority to declare war, and he unsurprisingly got the answer wrong."

Source:Jesse Dollemore actually does watch "cable news". That might be a newsflash for some.

From Jesse Dollemore

From Mediate:

"On Thursday night’s edition of CNN NewsNight, Phillip and a panel comprised of Jennings, Xochitl Hinojosa, Batya Ungar-Sargon, Donte Mills, and Van Lathan discussed Trump’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act.

When Jennings asserted that “we are at war” with suspected gang members, Phillip popped a Schoolhouse Rock-style quiz on him:

JENNINGS: These individual judges are overstepping. If what you’re essentially saying is that the president, who is the commander-in- chief, cannot determine when we are being invaded, an individual district court judge is going to decide that? No, thank you.

PHILLIP: Can I just ask a simple question? Who gets to decide whether the United States is at war or not?

JENNINGS: The president, in my opinion.

PHILLIP: No.

JENNINGS: If we’re being invaded, I want the commander-in-chief in that —

PHILLIP: Scott, no. It’s actually the Congress.

JENNINGS: You’re asking if we’re being invaded.

PHILLIP: I’m asking —

JENNINGS: You want to call Congress and see if we’re being invaded?

PHILLIP: I’m asking a basic constitutional question.

JENNINGS: We’ll be taken over before they ever get to the committee.

PHILLIP: (INAUDIBLE) will decide whether the United States is at war, the answer is Congress.

JENNINGS: I’m talking about if we’re being invaded.

PHILLIP: When the president says we’re at war, he has to show proof —

JENNINGS: Show we’re actively at war, not —

PHILLIP: And what he needs to do is go to Congress and —

(CROSSTALKS)

LATHAN: Wait a second, though. I thought the genius of our system was that we weren’t beholden to one guy’s opinion, that the genius of the American system of government was that we had three co-equal branches, and in those co-equal branches decisions, were made about how we go about doing things.

Now, we want to tear that to shreds so that we can kowtow to one guy’s opinion, then we are in a monarchy. We’re being ruled."

From Mediate

So even though Jesse Dollemore says he doesn't watch these prime cable talk shows... somebody watches them for him? I guess he could be more frank and say: "I watch them so you don't have to".

Which is sort of what some reporters who cover Donald Trump say: "I listen to the President's speeches so you don't have to".

I gave up "cable news" at night, which was the only time that I ever had to watch it anyway, right after 2024 General Elections. That election night was so depressing, I just gave it up. But I get so much news during the day anyway from people doing their own reporting and videos online, all the newsletters, etc, I'm much happier this way anyway. And it frees up my nights to do things that make me happy and that I actually enjoy, instead of:

Should grown men be allowed to compete in women's sports?

Do reporters have a constitutional right to question the President of the United States?

Do judges have a right to rule against the President of the United States?

Do students have a constitutional right to wear t-shirts that might offend other students?

I mean that's the level of discussion and programming that we now get from the so-called news networks during prime-time now. And not just from MSNBC, or FNC, or Newsmax, but CNN as well.. it's basically just political, tabloid, culture war, gossip.

From what I've read about Scott Jennings background, the only Congressional experience that he has was working for Senator Mitch McConnell's 2002, 2014 reelection campaigns. But you don't need to be a Congressional expert to know that only Congress (House & Senate) gets to officially declare war in America:

"The U.S. Constitution grants Congress the sole power to declare war. This power is explicitly stated in Article I, Section 8, Clause 11. While the President is the Commander-in-Chief of the military, only Congress can formally declare war."

From Senate.GOV.

So when CNN anchor Abby Phillip told Scott Jennings last night:

"Who will decide whether the United States is at war, the answer is Congress."

Al she was doing was giving Mr. Jennings a 10th grade social studies lesson, to a guy with a college degree. So when Mr. Jennings says:

"These individual judges are overstepping. If what you’re essentially saying is that the president, who is the commander-in- chief, cannot determine when we are being invaded, an individual district court judge is going to decide that? No, thank you.

We’ll be taken over before they ever get to the committee."

According to MAGA, we only have a Constitution, when there's a Democratic President... especially a Democratic President, with a Democratic Congress, But when MAGA is in charge, the Constitution is just basically just a manual that comes with a brand new TV or DVR: something there to use when you feel like you need some assistance.

Jesse Dollemore: Karoline Leavitt Talks About ARRESTING SUPREME COURT JUSTICES!!!

"Jesse talks about the interaction between Fox News’s Peter Doocy and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt when Doocy asked if the White House was considering arresting Justices on the United States Supreme Court."

Source:Jesse Dollemore with a look Dictator Don's chief political propagandist, Karoline Leavitt. I wonder if her parents know that she skips kindergarten class every day to work at The White House.

From Jesse Dollemore

This is obviously very easy for me to say because I'm not a judge (Federal or otherwise) or a law enforcement officer or agent, prosecutor, etc. But we have a presidential administration that doesn't believe in the rule of law or the Constitution. They only believe in the word and judgment of 1 man. Which is what national political cults do. So when I say something like:

"It's your duty as a government official, especially if you are in law enforcement or in the judiciary, to stand up for the rule of law and the Constitution, even if that puts your own individual freedom at risk, you have to do that for the sake of your own country".

That might sound something like: "Easy for you to say. You are not putting your own ass on the line here".

Which is true. But if they can arrest judges simply because they don't like the decisions that they make, they could arrest podcasters and bloggers for the opinions that they give and facts that they share.

But as long as we have law enforcement officials, prosecutors, judges, and members of Congress standing up for the rule of law and the Constitution, as long as we're doing these things collectively... every time DOJ brings a bogus (to be real kind) case against someone and they do that simply because they don't like what that person has to say or how they're dong their jobs, but not for actually doing something illegal, we'll all be protected from Donald Trump's reality TV big government. And he'll never become a king or dictator in America. And all these bogus (again, being kind) cases will get tossed out like the pieces of trash that they are.

Jesse Dollemore: Donald Trump EXPLAINS PLAN FOR ILLEGAL 3RD TERM – “I’m Not Joking!

"Jesse discusses Donald Trump’s third-term plans and the methods by which he will illegally be President again. He tells Kristen Welker that he isn’t actually joking, and they are working out how they will violate the Constitution to achieve their goals."

Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about DJT can look & sound when someone spikes his Diet Coke.

From Jesse Dollemore

From NBC News:

"President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call with NBC News, referring to his allies. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”

“I’m focused on the current,” Trump added, in some of his most extensive comments to date about serving a third term.

When asked whether he wanted another term, the president responded, “I like working.”

“I’m not joking,” Trump said, when asked to clarify. “But I’m not — it is far too early to think about it.”

When asked whether he has been presented with plans to allow him to seek a third term, Trump said, “There are methods which you could do it.”

NBC News asked about a possible scenario in which Vice President JD Vance would run for office and then pass the role to Trump. Trump responded that “that’s one” method.

“But there are others, too,” Trump added.

Asked to share another method, Trump simply responded “no.”

Amending the Constitution to abolish the two-term limit would be exceedingly difficult, requiring either a two-thirds vote of Congress or two-thirds of the states agreeing to call a constitutional convention to propose changes. Either route would then require ratification from three-quarters of the states.

The president pointed to his poll numbers, saying that “a lot of people would like me to” hold office for a third term.

Trump has previously commented on running for a third term in office, though Republicans have seen these comments as jokes or the president trolling his critics...

From NBC News

At risk of being called a sexist by every militant, left-wing, feminist, in the history of God's green Earth: (assuming there is a God) Just when I think Kristen Welker is just beautiful, adorable, Sunday morning eye-candy, who can get any drunk in the country with a head slamming hangover, to wake up on Sunday morning, just to watch her, she gives us some real hard news. Instead of just trying to convince her viewers of how cute and sweet she is. But the far-left doesn't like Kristen Welker. So perhaps I have nothing to worry about, since they only cry sexism over women they actually like.

I could roll either way on this latest Donald Trump, Washington tabloid story. And I'll tell you what I mean by that.

As The New Democrat said yesterday on social media about this latest Trump story: "Maybe we shouldn't jump in the lake every time he's says there's fish in it. He's simply trying to distract the country from Signal Gate and the economy".

And I completely agree with that. But the problem this story has given me a new theory about how Democrats should play this, assuming The White House is actually serious about this and someone hasn't been jacking the President's Die Coke with Jack Daniels or some other alcoholic beverage.

And it's Kristen Welker who threw this out there because apparently she's been talking to her own MAGA sources about this: Vice President J.D. Vance runs for President in 2027-28, (which is a story right there that I' will explore in the future) the Vice President selects his only boss, the President, to be his running mate. And some how they win the election.

So this is where the Democrats come it: whoever is the Democratic nominee for President in 28, they select President Barack Obama as their running mate. And President Obama spends the last 2 months of this campaign trolling not Vice President Vance, but President Trump. All day, every day, on social media, everywhere else, all the interviews, the townhalls, etc.

I mean when you are talking about Barack Obama, you are talking about 1 of the quickest and funniest minds, ever in American politics. The late night talk show hosts have. nothing on him from that standpoint. He proved that last October campaigning for Kamala Harris with the whole story about the price of diapers and talking about changing diapers and interrupting himself to say:

"First of all, can you imagine Donald Trump changing diapers? Think about that for a minute". And other issues like that.

You put President Obama on the campaign trail full-time to troll President Trump... the current President would look like a college of starving fish in the lake. I mean we're talking about the University of Texas Austin...a school of fish that large. And he take the bait every time the former President baits the current President.

So if the President is not drunk and high enough to shake hands with the Moon, they won't be pushing this. But if they do, the Democrats have the perfect counterpunch: tell the people how great a Vice President Barack Obama would be and that would kill this latest insane MAGA story faster than fire burns paper.

Jesse Dollemore: Rachel Maddow Defends Joy Reid After MSNBC FIRES ALL NON-WHITE PRIMETIME HOSTS!!!

"Jesse talks about Rachel Maddow's response to the brutal mass firing of non-white hosts by MSNBC corporate. These dismissals and role changes impacted Joy Reid, Katie Phang, and Alex Wagner, as well as an unknown number of support and production staff."

Source:Jesse Dollemore doing his impression of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" over MSNBC's firing of Joy Reid and Katie Phang.

From Jesse Dollemore

I guess I have a few responses here and I'll just get into them one after another.

I guess my first response here is somewhat minor and even perhaps humorous and goes into what my colleague Derik Schneider was talking about yesterday when he was talking about the left-wing racial term "people of color". And it goes to Jesse Dollemore's racial (if not racist) implication that Joy Reid, Katie Phang, and Alex Wagner lost their MSNBC shows because they're "people of color". And here's part of what he said about that:

"But the fact is, all people have color. Some have darker complexions, some have lighter complexions, some people are somewhere in between."

But if Reverend Marin L. King's America dream to ever come true, shouldn't we stop judging and looking at people based on their color and complexion? And instead look at people based on "the content of their character"?

If Alex Wagner and Katie Phang are "people of color", then how come Rachel Maddow and Ari Melber (who are both Jewish) are not? Especially when these 4 MSNBC anchors all have similar, if not identical complexions?

And my major point here is going to sound like I'm arguing that MSNBC (which is owned and operated by NBC News) is part of the broader Democratic Party, which it's not. But the 2 things are related and the fact is MSNBC (and perhaps NBC News as a whole) is a lot friendlier with Democrats, then let's say Newsmax or Fox News. (Just to name a couple of right-wing news outlets) And the Democratic Party right now simply has a political "brand" problem. They're seen as too left-wing and anti-white.

And to respond to another racial (not not racist) accusation made my Jesse Dollemore about why Joy Reid was fired by MSNBC: She wasn't fired  because she's an African-American woman. She was fired because she seems too far-left for the corporate media structure of MSNBC, as well as too far-left in general. And MSNBC is saying her ratings and support are down as well. And she has a tendency to come off as someone who doesn't like "white people". Not afraid to use racial language against "white people". But she'll be first person to always accuse other people of racism (at least when they're on the right) about any potential criticism of anyone the Left calls a "person of color".

I mean every time someone on the left-wing in American politics, loses their media job and they are a minority or a woman, the far-left always freaks out about it, they do their best impersonation possible of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". And they wonder why no one who isn't already on their side politically and culturally, doesn't watch their programs, and why they have to raise money from their viewers and readers, just to try to stay in business. And Rachel Maddow last night didn't pass up her opportunity to "cry wolf" over the firing of Joy Reid:

"Rachel Maddow defended recently fired MSNBC colleague Joy Reid Monday night and told her audience, “I think it is a bad mistake to let her walk out the door.” The decision by the network to cancel “The ReidOut” also “feels indefensible,” she added.

She added that it is “unnerving” that “on a network where we have got two non-white hosts in prime time, both of our non-white hosts in prime time are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend. And that feels worse than that, no matter who replaces them. That feels indefensible, and I do not defend it...

From The Wrap

So my broader point here is the Democratic Party, as well as it's friendlier (if not not friendly) news organizations has a brand problem. Part of that is ideological. Democrats are seen as people who won't defend the country protect the streets, that they hate wealthy people, especially "white" wealthy people. But part of that is also cultural and racial. It's not that they're seen as too minority, but as anti-white. And view blue-collar, small town, Caucasian Americans (especially Anglo-Saxon Protestants) as ignorant and not worthy of their attention and even campaigning for.

As my colleague Rik Schneider mentioned on Friday when talking about how the Democratic Party can come back in 2026-26:

"And to go to another point made by Adam Kinzinger said and why I love his conservatism: let's make this opposition movement about defeating Donald Trump and MAGA, period. Not about how many different genders and sexualities we can create, if we just had more Federal funding. Or nationalizing health care, banking, energy, etc, or outlawing private wealth and individual initiative.

Lets as the opposition in America, leave the crazy politics for the political nuthouse. And perhaps visit those people on visiting day when we need to be entertained. As well as a good reminder that is not who we want to be or where we want to end up. Let's stay focus on the mission of making Donald Trump's current term as POTUS, his very last and completely knocking the MAGA movement out-of-power in Washington and in as many places around the country as possible."

Not crying racism when every time a left-wing minority TV commentator or anchor is fired, would be a step in the right direction there.

If the Democratic Party and it's friendly news outlets want to not just survive Donald Trump/Elon Musk's era of oligarchic/monarch style of big government, with no checks and balances left on their individual power, but come back stronger than ever and be able to send the message that their style of of government is not what American people wanted, they should be doing as my colleague Ederik Schneider talked about yesterday:

"Before I go much further into this, I want to lay out what Rik Schneider and I mean when the use the word "liberal", or "liberals". or "liberalism". Because we're not talking about mainstream media's (including The Atlantic's) definition of those terms. We mean it in the liberal democratic sense. We're talking about people who believe in liberal democracy. No some left-wing, big government approach to government, society, and culture, etc. But people who believe in the liberal values that come from liberal democracy...

But, if the left-wing of the Democratic Party, including several of MSNBC's anchors and former anchors are satisfied as being seen nothing more than as the Green Party that's stuck inside of the Democratic Party and hasn't figured out how to get out of there, so they've decided that instead of just leaving the Democratic Party for the Greens, they'll just try to take over the Democratic Party instead, the Rachel Maddow wing of the Democratic Party will always be seen as the kids at the kiddy table, that's just a small part of a very large Democratic Party. And they'll continue to have very little, if any influence over the Democratic Party leadership.

Jesse Dollemore: Donald Trump Tweets He's Above the Law With OMINOUS NAPOLEON QUOTE!

"Jesse talks about Donald Trump's many, many posts that reveal his intentions to rule as a dictator/emperor figure. His tweet on Saturday that "He who saves his Country does not violate any Law" did not occur in a vacuum. We have many other troublingly anti-democratic sentiments that have been communicated by Donald Trump."

Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about Donald J. Trump's dream of becoming Dictator Don.

From Jesse Dollemore

From the Associated Press in December of 2022:

"Former President Donald Trump faced rebuke Sunday from officials in both parties after calling for the “termination” of parts of the Constitution over his lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

Trump, who announced last month that he is running again for president, made the claim over the weekend on his Truth Social media platform.

“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” he wrote. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!"

Also from the Associated Press:

" As Donald Trump faces growing scrutiny over his increasingly authoritarian and violent rhetoric, Fox News host Sean Hannity gave his longtime friend a chance to assure the American people that he wouldn’t abuse power or seek retribution if he wins a second term.

But instead of offering a perfunctory answer brushing off the warnings, Trump stoked the fire.

“Except for day one,” the GOP front-runner said Tuesday night before a live audience in Davenport, Iowa. “I want to close the border, and I want to drill, drill, drill.”

And in case anyone missed it, he reenacted the exchange.

“We love this guy,” Trump said of Hannity. “He says, ‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said: ‘No, no, no, other than day one. We’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.’”

And from the President of the United States himself on Saturday:

"He who saves his Country does not violate any Law"

So I guess this makes it official: President's Day (not King's Day or Dictator's Day) is a slow news day. It must be if I'm writing about a story about what President Donald (also known as Dictator Don) posted on social media on a Saturday.

I no longer blog on the weekends. Especially in Donald Trump's era, because life is short enough to begin with, I'm in my late 40s, and going crazy 5 days a week over what this man says and does (even though I only actually blog 6 times a month) is too much already. I don't want to see a story reported about me that's is something to the affect: "Man dies in front of his computer from an apparent heart attack  writing about Donald Trump". So I have to take a break from this man, at least once in a while.

Now to be more serious for a moment: someone can't credibly claim and argue about people using their own words against them. It's not like a murder defendant in court who hires someone to murder their wife and the person who actually does the murder rats out the guy who hired him, leaving the husband alone on this and the husband says something like: "I only told that guy to murder my wife. You can't use that against me"..

I mean all the media is doing here (expect for MAGA Inc. of course) is reporting and literally playing what literally comes out of the mouth of Donald J. Trump:

He said he would suspend the Constitution, after Republicans lost in 2022.

He told Sean Hannity he would be a dictator on day 1.

And he just quoted  French dictator Napoleon Bonaparte on Saturday with: "He who saves his Country does not violate any Law".

If you voted for Donald Trump for President , wouldn't you like to know why he quotes dictators, instead of civil rights leaders, or popular president's? Why does this man admire Vladimir Putin, but never has anything kind or intelligent to say about Ronald Reagan, except for perhaps on his birthday, or when he's at some event honoring that former President?

There are times in life when you have to be frank and just cut the bullshit and call a horse a horse (or whatever analogy you want to use) and lay it all out there. This is who Donald J. Trump is. This is who 80 million people voted for President for in 2024. This is who he wants to be. And right now we're relaying on what's left of our checks and balances to try to contain Donald Trump, until he hopefully leaves The White House 4 years from now, and prevent him from becoming the first dictator of the United States of America.

Maybe It's Not The Politicians Fault

"Jesse talks about reporting from the Washington Post about Venezuelan refugees who supported the election of Donald Trump, who are now realizing he doesn’t care even a little bit about them and that they are now going to be deported despite not being criminals and being in the United States legally."

Source:Jesse Dollemore with his take on this subject.

From Jesse Dollemore

"Rick Wilson is NOT here for the shock from Trump voters. It was an open book test!"

Source:The Lincoln Project with Rick Wilson's take on this subject.
k
From The Lincoln Project

As I wrote about this back in December:

"In Defense of Politicians", that would never be 1 of my lines. Not even if I was a defense lawyer defending a politician. I would be in there in court telling the judge:

"I'm here to defend the politician". But if I win this case, as soon as it's over, I'll be the first person telling the public how big of an asshole I think this person is. And why I've never voted for this politician. Well, not after the first time...

My point here is it's not  just the politicians. It's not just the voters either. It's just mostly the voters. As George Carlin said:

"Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from some other reality.

They come from American parents, American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses, American universities, and they’re elected by American citizens.

This is the best we can do, folks. This is what we have to offer. It’s what our system produces. Garbage in…garbage out...

If voters took voting as seriously as buying I don't know, their latest smartphone, their latest smart TV, which coffee house to buy their coffee and what coffee drinks that they want, (just to throw out a few examples) I could guaran-damn-tee you that voting would be a helluva lot better in America. For the simple reason because then American voters would become American consumers of politics and government and would take it seriously. It's not that Americans are stupid by-en-large, (with a lot of exceptions) it's that they tend to be mentally lazy and don't like doing their homework and taking risks. Unless that's what their pop culture icons are doing and they think that's the cool thing to do.

But as long as American democracy is like some realty TV game show, or something, where the winner is the person who is the coolest, the best looking, knows the best and most catch phrases, is hanging out with fabulist people, (so to speak) voting in American democracy will never be any better than voting for the NBA or MLB All Star Game. And to paraphrase George Carlin: it will just continue to be garbage in, garbage out, in our government."

From The New Democrat

If you are Kamala Harris right now... I doubt she's home right now with her husband Doug laughing their heads off (to keep this clean) at the American voters. At least, the American voters who were too dumb, too blind, too death, (perhaps they flipped a coin in the voting booth to decide who to vote for in 2024) or simply don't give enough of a damn about the United States, to make an intelligent decision in who to vote for. But only because I believe she loves her country and is still willing to do everything that she can to make America as great as it can be.

But, for the people who did vote for Donald Trump because they think he's a cool, wealthy, reality TV star, who hangs out with cool, wealthy, celebrities, who has a gorgeous wife and daughter, who was going to Washington "to shake things up" and "take on the establishment",  I have less than zero sympathy for you.

American democracy is a serious thing. It's not a high school class presidential election. (No offense to high school class presidential elections) This is not a reality TV show where the winner gets 1 million dollars or, wins a record label, or something.

Voting for President of the United States, is the major leagues of American citizenship. Except in this major league, we all get to play. Which means people who don't take voting seriously, who don't do their homework, who don't know who they're voting for before they actually vote for their candidates of choice, have the same right to vote as the people who not just watch and read the real news on a daily basis, but who go to PTA meetings, and town meetings, who've worked on campaigns themselves. And because of all that education and knowledge, generally make the right decisions in who to vote for themselves and their kids.

This is literally what Donald Trump ran for President on in 2024, other than to stay out of prison, of course:

"SEAL THE BORDER AND STOP THE MIGRANT INVASION

CARRY OUT THE LARGEST DEPORTATION OPERATION IN AMERICAN HISTORY

END INFLATION, AND MAKE AMERICA AFFORDABLE AGAIN

MAKE AMERICA THE DOMINANT ENERGY PRODUCER IN THE WORLD, BY FAR!

STOP OUTSOURCING, AND TURN THE UNITED STATES INTO A MANUFACTURING SUPERPOWER

LARGE TAX CUTS FOR WORKERS, AND NO TAX ON TIPS!

STOP THE MIGRANT CRIME EPIDEMIC, DEMOLISH THE FOREIGN DRUG CARTELS, CRUSH GANG VIOLENCE, AND LOCK UP VIOLENT OFFENDERS

KEEP THE U.S. DOLLAR AS THE WORLD'S RESERVE CURRENCY

CUT FEDERAL FUNDING FOR ANY SCHOOL PUSHING CRITICAL RACE THEORY, RADICAL GENDER IDEOLOGY, AND OTHER INAPPROPRIATE RACIAL, SEXUAL, OR POLITICAL CONTENT ON OUR CHILDREN"

From Donald Trump 2024

And if you think about it, the only issue and promise that President Trump hasn't addressed yet, is dealing with inflation and cutting taxes for everyone. I keep hearing, especially during the fall, when grocery prices were actually coming down, about how voters were concerned about inflation and rising prices, the cost of eggs in particular and Donald Trump saying that he would, "cut prices on day 1".

If you walk into a hospital cafeteria, or school cafeteria, are you expecting a gourmet meal?

If you walk into a used car lot that just sells old Chevy's and Ford's that people sold to the lot, are you expecting to buy a car that's as nice as a brand new Mercedes SE, or Jaguar sedan?

If you are looking for a home in Compton, Los Angeles, California, are expecting to even find a mansion there, let alone be able to buy 1 for what it could cost to rent a 1 bedroom rent-controlled apartment?

American voters criticize politicians all the time. And in many cases for good reasons. But Donald Trump, except as it relates to inflation and middle class tax relief, is literally doing as President, what he campaigned on. He literally said he would "just be a dictator on day 1". He literally said he wouldn't enforce court orders that he didn't agree with. He also literally said when the Feds were still trying to prosecute him, that he literally had the authority to do whatever he wanted to as President. And he got elected anyway.

And now even people who voted for Donald Trump for President, are angry about what he's doing. Even though at his campaign rallies, he talked all the time about what he wanted to do as President again. Including deporting Haitians in Ohio "for eating our pets".

If a guy says he will take everything you own and shoot you, if you let him in your home, but you let him anyway and he does exactly what he said he would do, after you let him in your home: aren't you at least partially at fault there? Maybe if you were drunk or high when he told you he would do those things to you, you might be able to plead insanity on that 1. I don't know. I'm not a lawyer.

My only point here is don't blame the politicians that you voted for, for doing exactly what they told you that they would do, if they got elected. Because you already surrendered your right to credibly complain.

Catherine Rampell: Donald Trump Got Rolled By Canada & Mexico

"Jesse discusses several moments from yesterday's news cycle that prove Catherine Rampell's assertion on CNN that "Trump is trying to repackage the status quo as a victory. That's what the leaders of these foreign countries are learning. You don't actually have to give Trump anything. You have to let him announce victory on TV."

Source:Jesse Dollemore talking about how Scott Jennigs also got "rolled" by Catherine Rampell.

From Jesse Dollemore

Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell on CNN last night debating Donald Trump propagandist Scott Jennings:

“I mean, I don’t know what Trump wanted in this situation,” she began. “Again, he didn’t actually get anything. But if he were to put these tariffs in place, they would be very painful-

For American consumers. Okay, Scott, I mean this is, this is public information!” continued Rampell.

If you don’t know that these countries have-, are committing to do exactly what they have already been doing, either you haven’t done your homework, or you think the American people are idiots because again, they’re doing exactly what they were already were doing,” said Rampell.

The pair continued to snipe at each other until anchor Phil Mattingly finally stepped in and broke it up...

From Mediate

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins last night on President Trump's trade wars with Mexico and Canada:

"President Trump is declaring victory for now, in his trade standoffs with Mexico and Canada, with the President pausing, for at least the next month, on actions that could have dramatically increased prices for Americans on everything, from cars to avocados.

But Trump, the same person who, of course, on the cover of “The Art of the Deal,” said this today about his goal, ultimately with Canada.

That was after his first phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, today, but before his second one. I was there in the East Room, shortly after that second call had ended.

Trump here, overall, seems to have won an agreement, where Canada is really going to do what it was already going to do. The Prime Minister saying this $1.3 billion border plan that he announced, back in December, is going to go into place.

And as for Mexico, this is how President Trump explained that result.

According to Mexico’s Defense Ministry, there are already 15,000 troops, nearly, they're on the border. It’s a deployment that started in 2019...

From Mediate

As my colleague Ederik Schneider wrote about this yesterday:

"Sorry, but I don't give credit to people for:

Not jumping off the bridge.

Not breaking into my house.

Not hitting my car when they're parking.

I don't give cabbies a bigger tip from dropping me off at the right location.

When you almost create a trade war and you are just pausing that trade war, you don't deserve credit for almost blowing up your house, but putting pause on that. Perhaps you really want to look at the consequences of that. Will the insurance company be fooled. That sort of thing.

The CTV News piece is correct:America gets  0.2% of its fentanyl from Canada. So where is the victory here? How is Canada putting more of their own troops on their border with us, a victory for America? If anything, Canada with its unpopular and outgoing Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, caved. And Donald Trump takes a victory lap for not blowing up his own house."

As Ederik mentioned yesterday and what Jesse Dollemore talked about today, is that Donald Trump creates all these man-made disasters (generally unintentionally, I believe, because he doesn't know what he's doing) and gets leaders of other countries to make some announcement announcing that they're doing what they already agreed to do years ago, or at least weeks ago.

Countries like Canada and Mexico, Britain, the European Union, already have a pretty good dossier  of President Trump. They know how easy it is to play him, to manipulate, to make him feel good. And they do that because if they make him feel good, he'l probably leave their countries alone.

In the 1950s and 60s there was a term for someone like Donald Trump: he's what you would call back then a "damn fool". Another term from that era would be patsy. "Damn fool" would probably be a good term for most of Donald Trump's blue-collar supporters who see them as their lord and savior, who will take America back to it's "glory days' and they'll be in-charged again. But that's a different discussion.

My point here is President Trump when he announced his tariffs on Canada and Mexico over the weekend, got burned by that. The Stock Market took a tumble and what mostly likely happened is that his oligarch backers got on him about that and told him that he needs to retreat (or something to that affect) and end, or at least pause these tariffs.

So what the President did on Monday was try to save his face by announcing that he he reached new border agreements with Mexico and Canada, that were already in place. And tried to take a victory lap on that. But as much as President Trump might hate this, we still have free speech and a free press in America. And Catherine Rampell and a lot of others, including The New Democrat, called him out on that.
