A classic and yet still an incredible sexy look. A beautiful women wearing a simple white t-shirt and skinny denim jeans in cowgirl boots. I call them cowgirl boots if they are worn by sexy women. This look is classic and why is it classic? And if you answer because it has been around a long time, you would be correct and also guilty of stating the obvious. But the better question would why has it been around a long time? And if you answer because it is classic, then you would be guilty of being a smartass. The real reason why this look has been around so long, the second edition now ten-years after the first edition in the late 1970s and 1980s, is because it is a great way for sexy attractive women to show off their legs. Really the whole point of skinny jeans both denim and leather and of course the long boots and putting the jeans in the boots. Showing people, I imagine especially men what kind of legs and butt that you have.
John F. Kennedy, when he became President of The United States in 1961 wanted to do a few things as it relates to economic policy. Go further in social insurance so more people could have access to affordable health care, especially senior citizens. In the areas of health insurance, but also more hospitals and health care professionals. But also in tax reform, lowering marginal tax rates where back in the early 1960s income tax rates ranged from 25-90%. Which was a drag on our economic growth, because Americans weren’t seeing much benefit from their success and production.
So President Kennedy, wanted to lower taxes rates, because the Federal Government got a big chunk of what Americans were making. Which is why President Kennedy wanted to cut tax rates across the board. See more money in the economy, more take home pay for Americans to spend that money to see more economic growth. And these tax cuts served as an inspiration for the tax cutters on the Right in the late 1970s and early 1980s. That led to tax cuts at the state levels in the late 1970s and of course President Reagan’s Economic Recovery Act of 1981.
But a Kennedy tax cut and a Barack Obama tax cut, are very different from a Reagan tax cut, or a George W. Bush tax cut. President Kennedy, didn’t have this idea that tax cuts automatically paid for them self. And unlike supply siders he believed that deficits mattered. And that if you cut taxes, you should do that by paying for them. And he did that by cutting wasteful loopholes in the Federal tax code. Jack Kennedy, wasn’t a Conservative as some on the Right like to suggest. And he wasn’t a big welfare state Social Democrat that today’s so-called Progressives like to believe he was. He was a Liberal in the true sense. Not anti-government, but believed a limited government could help people who needed it help them self.
This video is the exact reason why I wish former U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone was still alive. And had he lived I believe he not only would’ve been reelected to the Senate, but would’ve pushed what Senator Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin L. King called the Poor People’s Campaign and tour from the late 1960s. But Senator Wellstone would’ve started this campaign the 21st Century once he returned to the U.S. Senate. And back to the next Congress he would’ve served in 2003-04 that he had already started pushing while he was still alive.
Because not many people were talking about poverty in America back then at least not many public officials at the Federal level. And not many public people who were at, or near the height of Martin King were talking about. Poverty and yes that it actually existed back then in a country that was then and now the richest country in the World. And yet we have 1-5 or 1-4 then Americans living in poverty. In Appalachia, the Delta in Mississippi, inner-city ghettos like in big cities like Detroit and Los Angeles, Baltimore and so-forth. That how can a country that’s as rich as ours have so many people who don’t have enough to live a good life.
Another thing that I respect about Senator Kennedy’s campaign was that it came right after the so-called War on Poverty was announced by President Lyndon Johnson. Because that so-called war really didn’t go far enough and I’m not talking about money. But what Senator Kennedy was looking at were not only the what people in poverty go through and their living conditions, but also how to help these people move out of poverty and make a good life for themselves. Where the so-called War on Poverty was more about how to do we prevent these people from starving. Going homeless, without clothes and healthcare and so-forth.
The War on Poverty, didn’t take the next step and building off of a system that prevents people from essentially dying. But how we do we empower them so they don’t have to live in poverty at all. Which I believe had Bobby Kennedy had lived, we would’ve seen those ideas come from him later on. This is just one example of why RFK’s assassination was so tragic, because of the attention and the focus to these issues he would’ve brought. And why we need people with that type of power to focus people on these issues today since we are still dealing with the same issues. That we were talking about as a country forty-five years ago. And be able to finally focus on how we actually solve these problems. Instead of just talking about them.
This is an interesting debate to have, because when you are talking about capitalism, it depends on what version of capitalism you are talking about. Because there are several versions of capitalism. Like socialism, there are many versions of it. And another thing about capitalism is that it’s not a political philosophy, but an economic idea that private enterprise is best over state enterprise and state ownership, at least generally speaking. Thats what it is this idea that individuals are better off making out of life what they do themselves economically.
Instead of government trying to make their economic decisions for them and trying to run the economy for them. Thats Capitalism in its basic form. So when you are talking about capitalism, or debating capitalism, unless you are discussing, or comparing capitalism with state ownership, meaning government owns the means and production of society, you should know what type of capitalism you are talking about, because again there are several versions of it.
To know how there are several different versions of capitalism in the world, but also in America as well. Just look at Europe, which for the most part made up of social democracies, or socialist republics. But they all have private enterprise systems where the majority of the people in those countries work for private companies and organizations. But the difference being that they have democratic socialist systems. Where yes the economy and enterprise is private for the most part, but where the state meaning the Federal Government there plays a big role in providing human services.
Human services that Social Democrats and even some Euro Conservatives don’t trust the private sector to provide. Things like health care, health insurance, but most of the countries also have private hospitals and clinics as well. Plus private health insurers, take Germany which has a private health care system. And where there health care system costs half of ours, but where the state also has a role in providing these services. Education, pension, childcare to use as other examples.
So this is not a debate about capitalism vs socialism, but different forms of capitalism and which are better than the others. Or capitalism vs state enterprise and its real hard to make the case that state enterprise is better than capitalism. Take North Korea to use as an example. But a better debate is whether democratic socialism like you see in Europe is better than economic liberalism, or economic conservatism that we have in America.
Where we tax and spend a lot less, but where we also regulate like in Europe and where we also have a safety net. Both private and public to help the people who fall through the cracks of the private sector. And where we also have a public education and public infrastructure system so products that are created by private enterprise as well as their workers can move around in a timely and affordable way. But then you also have state capitalism like you see in China and now in Cuba a mixture of private and state enterprise.
The American economic system is not perfect and needs to be improved. But myself as a Liberal like the notion that individuals can make out of life what they put into it and be able to collect the rewards of their production. And deal with the consequences of their bad decisions with a system that promotes economic and job growth and success. With a good public education system,a good infrastructure system, a national energy policy that promotes and utilizes all of our natural resources and a safety net that empowers people who fall down so they can get back up on their own.
At risk of sounding like an old man, I don’t get the women smoking in jeans fad. I get the tight jeans and skinny jeans part, but what is so sexy or awesome or hot or whatever about seeing a women smoking regardless of what she is wearing? Especially since smoking “is like so not awesome anymore”. To use a valley phrase with so many Americans understanding the dangers of tobacco and the addiction part and not wanting to deal with the health effects of tobacco consumption later on in life. Now as far as the women in the video, again not interested in the smoking part. But a very attractive sexy women in skinny denim jeans in boots. A classic look that is not going away anytime soon, not with women like this and with healthier and curvy women around and still coming up.
The Fast and The Furious is not one of my favorite movies and certainly not a great movie and perhaps not even a very good movie. It is watchable and it is entertaining and has a lot of good car races and car chases. The cast is fairly good, but this movie is mostly a style movie intended on looking cool based on special effects, catch phrases and the people in it. Not so much on plot and little and perhaps annoying things to young producers and directors today, things like acting and writing. Not a very good movie based on that, but that is not what this movie is about anyway. But perhaps the best three parts of this movie are Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel and Letty and Dom together. They actually seem like real people in this movie. And not people trying to be someone else. And they look great and are great together. As you see in this deleted scene.
Representative Ford and Representative Boggs, basically giving their feelings about how they felt about the JFK assassination and how they felt about the incoming President Lyndon Johnson who was President Kennedy’s Vice President. Representative Ford basically saying that President Johnson was going to get what is called a honeymoon period in American politics. That House Republicans at least were going to see what the new President has in mind for the country and how he plans on moving forward. And that House Republicans were ready to help President Johnson at least in the beginning with anything that they can. And they helped President Johnson quite a bit in the 88th Congress with tax cuts and the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Line dancing aint my thang, so to speak, but I would be more than happy to learn how and do it with a sexy women who knows how to do it. And is something that I love watching sexy country and cowgirls do and watching them move. Because they are very attractive sexy women who take care of themselves and keep in great shape because they sort of have to because of the lifestyles they live. And the work they do either something to do with the country music business, even managing or working at country bars, or actually being performers themselves. Or working on farms or ranches out West like in Colorado. And they look great moving around and moving their legs and everything else. Giving guys a lot of thrill rides, if you know what I mean. And a pleasure to watch.
President Gerald Ford's 1975 State of The Union address was interesting for several reasons. First of all it was his first one since becoming President of The United States. So it was his first opportunity to layout in front of a huge audience in front of Congress on national TV. In prime time what he believes the situation of the country is and where he wants to take the the country, what his administration would be focused on since becoming President of The United States in August, 1974 after President Richard Nixon resigned because of Watergate with Gerry Ford being Vice President of The United States before that.
So this speech was President Ford's opportunity to layout for the country what type of politician he was and what type of Republican he was, what he believed in and where he was ideologically and who he was politically. And if you listen to one of the first lines of this speech, he says the State of The Union is not strong. High inflation, interest rates, budget deficit, too many people being unemployed and so-forth. So the American people got to see how honest he was as a leader.
Again a State of The Union speech is an opportunity for the President of The United States to not only layout what he believes the situation of the country is, but where he wants to take the country and what he wants to accomplish. And with the speech you hear a Conservative Republican President who is focused on the economy and fiscal policy. Too many people out-of-work, a weak economy that went into recession in 1974-75, with a rising budget deficit. And you also hear his solutions for it with an across the board tax cut to respond to it.
But another interesting thing about the speech is that you hear both the economic and fiscal Conservative. Gerry Ford speech which separates him from President Reagan. We need greater economic freedom and lower taxes, but we also have to pay for our expenditures by cutting the budget. Because this tax cut won't pay for itself. Unlike with President Reagan who was a supply sider. When it came to economic policy and believed that tax cuts pay for itself.
There are a lot of things I like and respect about Gerry Ford the man and politician. The man was one of the most decent, and honest politicians as well as public servants we've ever had. He came from the Harry Truman/Dwight Eisenhower school of public service as far as how public officials should talk to people. But he was also the real thing politically. A Conservative who was actually Conservative, because he knew what conservatism actually was. Rather than someone whose further to the right, but called themselves a Conservative.
In 1933 when Franklin Roosevelt became President of The United States he inherited the Great Depression. Basically an economy that was sinking and collapsing with basically no money anywhere, or no money being created. And anyone who had money at this point in the private sector was not spending, or investing the money. The Federal Government was literally the only game in town that it could spend and afford to borrow the rest to make up the difference of money.
America need money to be invested in the country to get people working again. And creating jobs so people had money to spend to generate economic growth, or at least create a floor for the Great Depression and buy time for the American economy to recover. Which is very similar, but not exactly how the Obama Administration and Congress responded to the Great Recession in 2009. We can argue about the effects of these proposals, but that’s how they were designed. And at least to a certain extent were effective in dealing with the Great Depression in a successful way.
The New Deal represented democratic socialism in the United States. And the creation of the safety net. The New Deal and President Roosevelt wasn’t looking to end American capitalism, but to save it and create a system that could respond to people who fell through the cracks of it. And be able to spend money and invest in the economy when no one else had the resources. In a very centralized and anti-federalist way putting a lot of responsibility with the Federal Government to respond to economic crisis’ like this.
Which is generally what you get from Socialists Democratic, or otherwise and Franklin Roosevelt was certainly Democratic. But bringing a social democratic, or democratic socialist response to the problems of the country. Which is one of the reasons why his critics on the right as well as left, like Wendell Willkie a Classical Liberal similar to me called President Roosevelt a Socialist. Thats the situation that Franklin Roosevelt inherited as president in 1933 and how we got the safety net in this country known as the New Deal. Our first phase of the safety net in this country. Where previously we were more of an economic libertarian country, where support for these policies seemed extreme or far-left, or something. President Roosevelt made these polices seem mainstream.
State of The Union speeches can be important are not matter at all and be forgotten. Depending on who the President is, where he stands in the country politically and so-forth. And the situation of the country and so-forth, which in a lot of ways will determine how the President will be able to do that year. And what he'll be able to accomplish and for the President an opportunity to layout where he believes the country is and where he wants to take the country.
1987 was an interesting year, time and State of The Union for President Ronald Reagan. Because it was the start of his most politically difficult year for the Reagan Administration. Because of the Iran-Contra scandal and Congressional hearings come as a result of that both in the House and Senate. As well as economic difficulties that came for later with rising interest rates. And a rising national debt and deficit that led to the Wall Street crash in October of 1987. And with President Reagan becoming the most unpopular he had been at least since the 1981-82 recession.
So this State of The Union was the start of a very interesting and tough year for Ron Reagan as President and an opportunity for him to layout what he thought the condition of the country was. And where he wanted to take the country further. It was also the start of President Reagan's last two years as President and running out of time as far as being an effective leader that can push the country as well. 1987 was President Reagan's last year to basically move the country and to lead them in a certain direction. Partly because he accomplished almost everything he wanted to pre-1987, including tax reform through a divided Congress and 1987 was the year to deal with scandal, Supreme Court nominees. Including Robert Bork and then later Anthony Kennedy, as well as further negotiations with the Soviet Union.
Here's a Mexican soap opera from Televisia TV taking place on a what at least in America and perhaps in Mexico would be called a Western ranch. What we call in America Western culture is pretty popular in Mexico, but they have their own Western culture that is not that different from what you see in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. But takes place in states in Mexico like Tijuana. If you watch the Spanish soap operas on Telemundo and Univision, a lot of them at least when I was watching them on a regular basis ten-years ago or so took place on ranches.
I love these types of shows because it combines the drama, backstabbing, ulterior motives and humor of a good soap opera. With cowboy and cowgirl culture and you get to see all of these Latin beautiful and sexy cowgirls like you see in this video throughout the show. It is sort of like watching Rodeo Girls on A&E, if you are familiar with that, but it takes place in Mexico or perhaps Argentina or somewhere else in South America. Instead of the Southwest or Mountain West in America.
Not a fan of country music, at least generally. I actually tend to make fun of it when I hear it and do my country boy impersonation. But I like this song and not because it is a country song, but because it sounds more like a country rock song. It has more of a rock beat to it and is a party song. Plus the video looks real good with two sexy women in moving and running around and then you have Colt Ford in the background sing his tune using I guess his own concert video footage. Plus this is a very well-written song and Colt has a real good voice. Like to hear him do more country rock, if not blues rock which is popular in the South and broader rural America. Because he has that type of personal background and sound to his music. So I like this song a lot and it have a very good video as well.
Raquel Welch, not only playing a grandmother, but a bad girl on the same show. Nope! Sorry, not buying it. For one, she’s still too damn hot to be playing a grandmother. Maybe when she turns a hundred will she finally be able to pull off the grandmother. And maybe pigs will be flying and Mississippi will become an Islamic State by them. With Billy Joe and Jimmy Ray, wearing turbans as well. And two, she’s too damn cute to be playing a bad girl. Well actually that works for her, because she would be one of the last women people would assume as a bad girl, because she’s still real hot and has the baby-face going for her when she smiles, or is even pissed off. In all seriousness this looks like a good show and I wish I had watch it. Because Raquel is on it, but it looks like a good episode as well.
Horatio, (played by David Caruso) I guess the lieutenant on this show. Really has his work cut out for him. The lead criminal is a red-hot Latina goddess and his professionalism will really be put to the test on this show. He’s going to have to try to catch a women and put her organization away without falling for the urge to want to bang her. (Good luck Chuck!) Or at the very least get very close with Vina Navarro, (played by the red-hot Raquel Welch) who is the leader of a very powerful crime family in Miami. Responsible for several murders and runs a narcotics operation. Perhaps has politicians in their back pockets. A really bad crew as far as the damage they can bring. And Horatio almost has to do this job blindfolded, at least when he’s around Vina, or has David Caruso put it in the promo for this show, he may fall for her power and sex appeal and be sucked in by her.
David Caruso, I believe at least is a great actor. He plays the tough smart cop very well, as you see on this show and if you’re familiar with the movie Body Count back in 1998, he also plays the wise-cracking funny bad guy stoned killer as well. Someone who knows what they want and won’t let anyone stop him. Who also can make you laugh knows how to put people in their place with humor. Raquel Welch, is still so red-hot that she’s been banned from both the North and South poles, because they don’t want any more ice to melt. Scandinavia, doesn’t want her in the winter either. (Ha, ha) And yet she’s also a hell of an actress who uses her tremendous sex appeal and adorability as an actress to bring viewers in, but has this great charm and credibility as an actress that you believe whatever role she’s playing, because she’s playing it. This looks like a real good show and hopefully I’ll see it on demand, or in syndication.
There are times that I certainly write pieces for the pure pleasure of it. And in this case this would be something that would make me feel good and a lot of other guys would feel good, but if someone from the Christian-Right, Moral Majority and that club ever saw it, they would try to send me to hell. That hell would probably be a prison, because that is the closest that they could get to. But when you post a video of a sexy women in all black, including skin-tight black leather jeans that Jim Morrison The Lizard King would be proud of and she's showing her asset, you're not speaking to a church, or a so-called family values group.
I'm not a fan of what is called hard-core porn. And for me that is basically very sexy naked women, or women who only cover up their boobs and lets say mid-section, leaving their legs and chess bare. But I do like sexy women in tight outfits. Especially women in tight jeans and boots. Love leather jeans models, like you see in this video. Love cowgirls, biker women and athletically built women entertainers and women I just see on the street. You don't have to be pornographic to look sexy. You can look sexy and even where tight outfits. Including with skinny denim and leather with boots and other pants and skirts and look sexy, but not have to look like you work at a sex shop.
Sexy women to me, are stylish women. A porno star, would probably get my attention and I'm sure I would check her out. But a sexy stylish women with a nice body who knows how to show her body without being practically naked will be in my memory. And I'll be thinking about her and want to get to know her, because a women like that probably has more going on for her than just her body. But a women who feels the need to be half-naked on a regular basis, or does that to make a living, probably doesn't have much else going on for her.
Not sure why a sitting United States Governor who had no foreign policy experience to this point, except for a brief time in World War II, would be debating a U.S. Senator. Who had clear foreign policy experience as a U.S. Senator and a member of the U.S .National Security Council for four years. Why they would be debating each other over foreign policy, especially our involvement in the Vietnam War. Other than they were both expected presidential candidates for 1968. Senator Robert Kennedy, was one of the strongest opponents against the Vietnam War in Congress. And Governor Reagan, was a proponent of the war.
In this debate you are talking about two very intelligent people with clear and different positions in politics including foreign policy. One representing the right as well as it can be and the other representing the what I call the Old-Left. The FDR coalition that included economic Progressives and liberal internationalist cold warriors. Which is exactly what Franklin Roosevelt was. And someone who represented progressivism in the most responsible and mainstream form. That you can be progressive, or social democratic even on economic policy, but you need to be tough when it comes to national security. Ao you can defend freedom at home and abroad, but that you also have to be smart as well.
And of course with Ron Reagan, you are talking about a Conservative Libertarian, or Classical Conservative. Who of course applied those beliefs to foreign policy as well and that America should defend freedom abroad. Where we can and make a positive difference. This debate here represents exactly what the United States would’ve done differently in the Vietnam War. In Bobby Kennedy’s case, we wouldn’t have gotten in at all, or certainly wouldn’t have been involved as much as we were and would’ve pulled out sooner. In Ron Reagan’s case, we would’ve taken the Barry Goldwater approach and gone in full-throttle. And tried to win the war much sooner and try to save lives that way instead of settling for a tie in the early 1970s.
Full Throttle Saloon is a show that I watch from time to time, not on a regular basis. And it is basically about a bar that is a hell of a lot more than a bar somewhere in the Dakotas. It is sort of a combination of concerts, amusement park and a bar. A basically and entertainment center for adults like you would see with casinos in Las Vegas. This place is not a casino as far as I know, but a place where adults can go and see all sorts of entertainment. And I guess this was one of the shows that was put on at Full Throttle. A water fight with a big tall sexy curvy blonde, nailing another women with her water gun in a water fight. And you see many different sexy women like Angie in events like this. And you see biker women, cowgirls, rocker chicks who come by to have a great time. As well as performing themselves and makes for an interesting place to have a good time.
The song to me is pretty corny and maybe that is just because I’m not a country music fan. I can if doubt that and perhaps I’m just being nice. But I like the video because I like sexy country girls, which is exactly what you see in this video. Sexy country girls in action on the farm or ranch doing their thing and perhaps doing it as well as country boys. Well at least they look at lot better than country boys. And this is just an example of why guys regardless of where they come from like country girls and how they carry themselves at least from a physical perspective. Because these women tend to be very attractive and very sexy and you get to see them in action or horses and on stage and doing rodeos, driving trucks, riding motor bikes and everything else that country girls do.
The Jack Ruby episode is a perfect example of why so many conspiracy theories came about after the John F. Kennedy assassination. Because first an American president is assassinated and then the assassin, or at least accused assassin is shot and killed as well. And left many Americans to believe that this is too unreal and can't be natural acts. And that something is up that would explain these crazy activities from happening like forces in the Federal Government working to see that Jack Kennedy and Lee Oswald are killed. Because they saw Jack Kennedy as a threat and that Lee Oswald knew too much about not only the assassination itself, but the all of the powers associated with the JFK assassination. And didn't want their power and control to be threatened.
We'll never know the full story of what Jack Ruby knew about this case, because he died three years after the JFK assassination. And we might already know everything that he knows about this case. But Jack Ruby and his associations with organized crime figures in Dallas and the hatred that the Italian Mafia had for President Kennedy and his administration leave a lot people wondering if they put Ruby up to killing the President, because they didn't want Oswald to talk. The only conspiracy theory that has any credibility whatsoever that leaves intelligent sane people like Robert Blakey who worked for the House Assassinations Committee wondering if someone other than Lee Oswald was involved in the JFK assassination is the possible organized crime connection.
"Tessa in black leather." Originally from Leathered Life, but the video has since been deleted or blocked on YouTube.
A short but sweet video I guess. I like the woman, but it would’ve been nice to of gotten a better look at her face. And even more so I liked her outfit.
She basically looked like a rocker or biker chick with the leather jacket and leather jeans. Which is a fairly common look for both rocker and biker chicks, especially biker chicks because leather and leather jeans are so practical with what they do and riding their bikes. Because the leather jeans protect their legs especially from hot bikes. And they look real good on biker chicks on bikes and they are a great way for sexy women to show off their bodies especially their legs and butts.
So this woman wearing a sexy outfit, but this video was just too short for me and would’ve liked to of seen at least a two-minute video of this woman in this outfit.
The Raquel Welch swimsuit edition, at least in a movie from 1968. Lady in Cement is actually a very good movie. Very funny as Frank Sinatra movies tend to be, because he was a very good comedic actor with a very good off the cuff sense of humor. This movie also has a lot of good action scenes in it as well and a hell of a cast. But take Raquel out of this movie and they would have to replace her with another goddess who if she isn't as hot, sexy and adorable as Raquel. She would have to at least be in her ballpark. Someone like Jill St. John who was in the first Tony Rome movie. (Any guesses on what the first Tony Rome movie was called) An actress like Raquel Welch brings guys to movies by herself. Because she's so hot and sexy and adorable and that voice and yet she can also act as well.
Raquel and Frank are twenty-five years apart in real-life and perhaps in this movie as well. And yet the Raquel character Kit, is attracted to Tony Rome, because he's Frank Sinatra. Well actually because Tony Rome is a very charming intelligent funny smartass, who is very good at his job. Rome is attracted to Kit as well, because, as if you don't know the answers to that! But he needs her for the case he's working on and she knows men that might have something to do with the murder he's investigating. If not did the murder themselves and he uses her to get to them, as well as please himself. Kit also tries to use Rome to get him to investigate someone else, with Rome telling her, "when I want it, I'm not going to trade for it." You can tell that they're very attracted to each other in this movie, but that Rome has a job to do and that is what he concentrates on. And its a very entertaining movie.
This week in punditry. Let's see where should I start. Well we just had a week with plenty of punditry in it, oh you want more than that. Not sure why, but here it is if you want it, you’ve been warned. Well we had a Secretary of State step down, because she has better things to do than manage our foreign policy. I know right, what’s more important than that. Well she has another book to write and needs to decide if she wants to be President of the United States, or not. Wait, that’s more important ,but of course it's her decision.
And I wish Secretary Hillary Clinton well with her new Gabby Giffords look in how she where’s her glasses. And I congratulate her with her service to the country the last four years by leaving Congress and not running for President and taking on President Obama. And the Democratic Party thanks her for that as well. Let's see what else happened, oh yeah we had a Secretary of Defense confirmation hearing, as if it’s not interesting enough that we would have a Liberal Democrat nominate a Conservative Republican for Secretary of Defense. But the fact that Chuck Hagel forgot to put caffeine in his morning coffee, or forgot to go to bed the night before and forgot to bring his memory, because not all of Chuck Hagel was at that hearing.
Did I also mention that Fox News claimed to be a serious news organization. No seriously I know when have they ever reported any news at all and that Fox News still remains the most trusted name in news. Well for the Republican Party anyway, but don’t take that very seriously. Because they also believe that it’s still 1955 and that President Ronald Reagan never raised any taxes. And that homosexuality was invented ten years ago and that Barack Obama is an African Muslim Socialist from Kenya. So take all of that for what its worth, borrow a dollar if you have to. Or use that money to actually buy something of value. But Fox News is as much of a news organization as Pat Robertson is a supporter of gay rights in America. And to be fair MSNBC is not much of a news organization either, but two cable networks that serve as mouthpieces for the two major political party’s in America.
What else happened this week. Oh yes Rush Limbaugh who apparently still hasn’t died from a heart attack yet, declared that since the mainstream media won’t cover the real news in America, you know anything negative towards Barack Obama and other Democrats and if you can’t find something, make something up, because of course there’s always negative info about Democrats. It just hasn’t been found yet, that if the mainstream media doesn’t do a job on Democrats, that Rush and his allies will.
Rush Limbaugh is about as much of a reporter as Ron Paul is a Socialist, it’s simply not believable. But the good thing for Rush is that as much as he may hate it, as well as the rest of the country may hate having Rush living in America, he lives in a liberal democracy with freedom of speech and beliefs. Thats the way it is as Walter Cronkite the famous CBS News anchor always said to close the Evening News. A big week for a lot of people and more evidence of why we need to fully fund mental health care in America. And have a better public education system with all of the nutty and ignorant people we have on both sides of the aisle.
Its pretty clear why President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. He was a strong liberal cold warrior, strong anti-Communist, who wanted Fidel Castro out of power in Cuba even by force. Who was a strong warrior against organized crime as well, despite having connections with that community. But his brother Bobby, pushed strong against the Italian Mafia in America and he supported him. Communists and organized criminals, saw Jack Kennedy as a threat to him. But one of the tragedies of the RFK Assassination, was that there wasn't any clear motive or reason. For why Bobby Kennedy was assassinated.
RFK was murdered by Sirhan Sirhan a Palestinian living, or staying in America. Senator Kennedy, didn't have any strong, or controversial positions towards the Israeli-Palestinian issues. Senator Kennedy's, main focus when it came to foreign affairs had to do with the Vietnam War. Where he was one of the strongest critics of it. A war that Sirhan didn't have much if any position on it, at least not a position he made public. Both Kennedy assassinations were definite tragedies, but I believe for different reasons. And I'm not saying one was more tragic than the other, but they were different. To focus on Bobby Kennedy, he at least at the time as a Senator represented what became the New-Left in America. As someone who was anti-war, but I don't believe he was ever as Far-Left as the New-Left.
The New-Left, a social democratic, or even communist movement in some circles in America. That was anti-war and big believers in social insurance and what government could do for the people as it related to social welfare. Big believers in the New Deal and Great Society and if anything would've gone much further. But what separated Bob Kennedy from most of the New-Left, Students for a Democratic Society and others, was that Kennedy had a healthy amount of realism to go with his idealism. And believed that America still had a long way to go to create what Social Democrats call a just society. But Senator Kennedy also understood what could be done and worked under that.
I consider Bobby Kennedy to be the first responsible member of the New-Left social democratic movement in America. It would be Robert Kennedy or Dr. Martin King people who understood what needed to be done in America. But also understood what can get done and that fighting the good fight and not winning is not always the best course of action. That being a Progressive is also about making progress and is something that Progressives need more of today.
The Kennedy I have the most admiration for would be John F. Kennedy. Who was our 35th President of the United States, after serving fourteen years in Congress both in the House and Senate. I like him the most for political reasons, because he’s exactly what a Liberal Democrat should be and is. But I probably have more respect for Edward M. Kennedy, Ted Kennedy of course. Just because he never changed, always fought for what he believed in and so-forth. Perhaps the hardest working and most productive person to ever serve in Congress. House or Senate and of course was called the Lion of the Senate a title he definitely earned.
With Robert F. Kennedy, I believe Bobby represented the heart of the family and what his family and Democrats should represent. And be about and I believe was one of the most effective Attorney Generals we’ve ever had in this country. Because of his work of making organize crime a national issue and importance and the people he was able to bring down. Along with his work on civil rights and the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Kennedy family, is the closest thing we’ve ever had to a royal family in America and hopefully the closest we’ll ever come.
The Kennedy’s, are the most successful political family we’ve ever had at one point having the Presidency the Attorney General’s office and a member in Congress. Since 1947, there has been at least one Kennedy serving in Congress House or Senate all the way up until 2009 when Senator Ted Kennedy died and was obviously out of Congress. If you’re last name is Kennedy and you look like you have a future, you’ll always be asked unless you are already in Congress, are you going to run for Congress, or the White House.
The closet thing the Republican Party has probably produced as far as successful political families, is the Bush Family of course. With two members serving in Congress. Senator Prescott Bush in the 1950s and Representative George H.W. Bush in the 1960s. George W. Bush, ran for the House in 1978, but lost, but they have had two president’s. So they’ve been very successful as well politically. I believe these are the reasons why the Kennedy Family is so beloved, or at least respected. Because of everything they’ve accomplished and of course the members of the family themselves.
The Kennedy Family, is a very likable family with very charming people. At times seeming more like a Hollywood family than a Washington family. Weighing in on all the big decisions of the day, which is why they are so famous. They are a story of rags to riches, at least from how Joe Kennedy Sr. started out in life and what he made of his life. And pushed his children so hard that they would never have to live in poverty ever. But it is also a family of tragedy and fortune. Having lost so much as far as life, but have built so much for themselves as well. A truly American family Irish, or otherwise.
Strange video and not just because she was speaking in another language, I believe Italian. But that she felt the need to get herself so close to her computer I guess in order to get herself filmed. That she didn’t use a cam corder or something that could record from a distance and we could see her moving around or sitting down, or have someone film her. Instead of her just making the video right in front of her computer like she was uploading something for Facebook or MySpace, or a dating site or something. But having said all that, pretty good with a good sense of style. Looking like a women who is going out shopping in a big city on the weekend or something. With the makeup, jacket, great jeans and nice boots as well.
The 1960s elections especially the presidential election between Senator John Kennedy and Vice President Richard Nixon, were fascinating for several reasons. But it was a fascinating election season before Jack Kennedy and Dick Nixon won their party’s nomination for President. The Democratic primaries had two of the strongest leaders in the Democratic Party competing with each other for the Democratic nomination, in Senator Kennedy and Senator Hubert Humphrey.
The two Senators represented different factions of the Democratic Party and even different generations of the party. Even though they were both from the same generation officially. Hubert Humphrey represented the old guard, or what I call the Old-Left of the Democratic Party, the FDR coalition of Northern Progressives and Southern Conservatives who tended to work together on economic policy and foreign policy, but were different on civil rights obviously.
Senator Humphrey came out in favor of civil rights before it became popular to use as an example.
And Senator Kennedy represented what I call the Reformed-Left, people who were called New Democrats in the 1980s, the true Liberal Democrats in the party. The JFK vs HHH Democratic primaries weren’t just about who would try to lead the Democratic Party in the next four years. But who would lead the country and which faction of the Democratic Party would lead the country in the next four years.
And I believe had Jack Kennedy not of been assassinated as President in 1963 and gotten reelected in 1964, the Vietnam War doesn’t happen at least as far as how the United States was involved in it. And that he would’ve realized how big of a mistake it would’ve been for America to try to win that war at least on our own. And what’s called the New-Left that came together in the 1960s because of the Vietnam War and the Great Society, against the war, but strongly in favor of the Great Society.
I don’t believe the New Left emerges that’s become Occupy Wall Street today. Because there wouldn’t of been a need for it and the old FDR/LBJ coalition would’ve stayed in place and the Democratic Party would look different today. Had Senator Humphrey defeated Senator Kennedy in 1960 and somehow gone on to defeat Vice President Nixon in the general election. The Democratic Party would look different today as well because again I don’t believe a President Humphrey would’ve gotten the United States as involved in the Vietnam War as it did.
And the New-Left or Occupy Wall Street isn’t in existence today, because again there wouldn’t of been a need for it. But the Reformed-Left or New Democratic Coalition doesn’t emerge either, or at least not as early as it did. Perhaps Senator Kennedy runs for President in 1968 and gets elected, but a lot of New Democrats of today that came from the Baby Boom Generation that looks up to Jack Kennedy and see him as our leader, I’m not a baby boomer I’m a Gen-Xer, but Jack Kennedy is a big political hero of mine. And I’m a New Democrat as well.
The JFK-HHH primaries was really about the sole or future of the Democratic Party and where we were going as a country. And what the Democratic Party was going to look like in the future. Which is why these primaries were so important and a big reason why people were so fascinated. Because JFK was new as a national leader and spoke differently and had different ideas and a different vision. As far as where he would take the country and Democratic Party. Against HHH who represented the old guard or Old-Left in the Democratic Party that were looking to expand the New Deal.
The 1960 West Virginia Democratic primary was a battle of dirty tricks. With the Humphrey campaign trying to make JFK’s Irish-Catholic faith and issue in an overwhelmingly Anglo-Saxon Protestant state like West Virginia. Which is the South Carolina of the Mid-Atlantic. The Kennedy campaign with Jack’s father Joe literally buying votes and West Virginia political leaders. Both campaigns running ads against the other that were simply false. When the West Virginia primary should have literally been a battle place of ideas. With HHH offering his progressive big government vision. And JFK offering his liberal limited government vision for the country. That would use government to empower people and not just take care of them.
This is one of the most interesting presidential campaigns ever I believe. Jack Kennedy vs Dick Nixon in 1960 was also a great campaign. But the campaign between Senator Jack Kennedy and Senator Hubert Humphrey (or Hubie to be less formal) I believe at least in some ways was even better. Because it represented a battle of Democratic factions. The New Deal/soon to be Great Society progressive coalition faction of the Democratic Party. That had all sorts of big government social programs for people. Against an emerging liberal New Democratic coalition of JFK that wanted to use government to empower people in need to be able to take care of themselves.
What the Kennedy campaign tried to do here was to make it look like their candidate was the young candidate who represented the younger generation and that Senator Humphrey was old school and represented older people and the ways of the past. Even though they were both World War II Generation and were only six years apart in age. Senator Humphrey ran on his experience even though Senator Kennedy had actually served in Congress longer at this point than Humphrey. With his six years in the House before being elected to the Senate in 1952. This campaign was really a campaign about ideas and the role of government in America instead. Humphrey wanted a bigger Federal Government to take care of more people. Kennedy wanted to use government to empower people in need to be able to take care of themselves instead.
I wish Leathered Life, was as active now, as it was 4-5 years ago. Because if you love seeing sexy and I mean beautiful well-built women in tight leather jeans and boots as well, Leathered Life was probably the best place find images of women like that. Not that they had a lot of competition, but they're models are curvy with tight curves. And you consistently see them in Miss Sixty black leather jeans, with boots and t-shirts. Lena, one of their models there, is a beautiful baby-faced adorable brunette, with big curves and a very tight body. Looks great in those Miss Sixty jeans.
Unlike with denim jeans of course there not a lot of leather jean brands. Levis, makes leather jeans and so does Wrangler and maybe a few others. But Miss Sixty, specializes in leather jeans and they also make denim jeans. They're great with the skin-tight, or skinny jeans, both leather and denim. And they make them for women and men. What you see with Lara in this video, is a wide-range of Miss Sixty. The leather jeans, leather coat and leather boots. She's one of their better models at Leathered Life.
Leather jeans, especially for women, are pretty common in Europe and I believe in Latin America as well. But they haven't caught on very well in America except for the late 1970s and early 1980s and then came back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They tend to be seen as very Rock and Roll, or biker and unless you come from that culture, women don't tend to be very comfortable wearing them. Unlike skinny denim jeans, where they wear those jeans everywhere even to work now. To show off their legs and butts. Which is too bad, because if anything leather jeans are a better way for women to show off their bodies.
